Adoption Day
Tomorrow Friday April 10,
At Ecoferia Domincal.
From 8:30-12pm

*RESPONSIBLE ADOPTERS, TRAIL FOSTER-TO-ADOPT OR FOSTERS

,
IF YOU’RE INTERESTED AND CAN’T MAKE ADOPTION DAY OR WANT MORE INFORMATION, PLEASE SEND US A MESSAGE! SHARING IS ALSO VERY HELPFUL & APPRECIATED!

RINGO
4-5 years old male & neutered. The most loyal & loving hound! He has a very typical story, an elder found him in dominicalito left behind by his "family", tied to a chain so tight it was embedded in his skin. He is fully recovered and ready to go! He’s ultra friendly, loving, goofy yet gentle / with an old-soul look, and of course, the signature hound howl. He would be great for any household and has lived with chickens and cats, showing no prey drive.

BINGO
Bingo the beagle, male 4-5 years & neutered. Found in dominicalto with no owner / unclaimed. His first foster had kids who he is great with, and loves his other foster dog family. He may have been tied up, or had a bad experience so he’s a little afraid of new dogs but he’s eager to please, food motivated, and taking corrections very well and making great progress.

LALA
Female, about 2 years & spayed. This girl LOVES love & attention, second to her love for food. She’s extremely sweet, loyal, smart and food motivated (but not food-aggressive). She’s happy to be with you lounging around or out on an adventure, good in the car, on leash or off-leash she will stay with you (especially if you have treats).

Come and have a cafe with us share our passion for animals and learn about our efforts to reduce abandonment and overpopulation by taking mobile vets to rural towns to perform mini spay and neuter clinics for animals that live in extreme poverty. Over 1,000 animals have been fixed to date. We are also looking for volunteers, accepting donations to continue this work, and help fixing around 30-60 animals per month.

We did it again! 💚🐾

Thanks to the beautiful support of the Canto del Mar Neighbors community, we were able to fully sponsor the spay and neuter surgeries of 39 animals in the Dominicanito area. This would not have been possible without their generosity and commitment.

A heartfelt thank you to Alexis Cress and Lily Farish, Collette Scally-Ryan whose donations — together with the support of the Canto del Mar neighbors — made this campaign possible.

We are also deeply grateful to Paul Reynolds, the organizer of this campaign, who generously donated 20 vaccines for the cats and dogs. Because of this collective effort, we are actively preventing overpopulation and abandonment in our coastal communities.

✨ This was our last spay & neuter campaign of 2025, held on December 13, 2025.
From 2023–2025, we have now reached a total of 1,700 animals spayed and neutered. This milestone belongs to the entire community and reflects what is possible when compassion turns into action.

A big thank you to our amazing volunteers, whose time and love made everything run smoothly:
Lily Farish, Lynn Burnett, Katrina Ameri, Harmon Judith Ganesh, Colette, Caitlin, Karen Brink and Grettel Solorzano U. We truly could not do this without you. 🙏

🚗💛 If you would like to help transport animals or sponsor an animal in need, please reach out to me via WhatsApp: 8302-7563.

📍 Next Spay & Neuter Campaign:
February 21st at the Fincas in Palmar Norte, where we aim to spay/neuter 60–70 animals from low-income families. This work helps prevent abandonment and overpopulation in the palm oil plantation areas.

🧺 We are also in need of donations:
• Small cat carriers
• Blankets, sheets, old cotton T-shirts
• Ear cleaners
• Deworming pills
• Tick & flea medication
• Leashes and collars

🐶🐱 Adoption Days:
We are at Ecoferia Farmers Market every other Friday.
📅 Next adoption day: Friday, February 13, 2026

Thank you for being part of this journey and this work. Together, we continue creating real change. 💛

Thank you, Steve Muller and Rancho Osa Hora (Dominical)

Thanks to the support of people like you, who trust and believe in this work for animal welfare, yesterday’s spay and neuter clinic was a great success.
🐾 A total of 37 animals were sterilized, 34 of them females.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who acted responsibly and made the effort to bring their animals, helping give them a better quality of life. These collective efforts truly make a difference.

A heartfelt thank you to all the volunteers.

And thank you, Perra Vida, for helping us create real change ❤️ for so many animals in the Southern Zone.

We did it again! 💚🐾 # #

I want to give a big thank you to our community for supporting our ongoing spay and neuter efforts for low-income families living in the fincas of the palm oil plantations in Palmar Sur.
Your love, sweat, and dedication made this campaign possible.

On November 15, we brought a full team—Dr. Ricardo, two vet technicians, and a group of incredible volunteers—to spay and neuter 70 animals, all fully sponsored.
These campaigns help prevent overpopulation, abandonment, and endless suffering in the fincas and the surrounding areas of Palmar and Cortés.

Community Support & Donations

The total cost for this campaign was $2,114+$95 lunches)= $2209.

We received the following donations:
• $1,000 from Elissa’s fundraising
• $500 from Red’s fundraising
• $709 raised by @⁨judith Gane & her friend Monica,
Alexis Cress Yoga & Rainbow's Light
Nancy Newsom
Lily Farrish⁩
Karen Brink ⁩
Katrina Amerie⁩
Collette Scally-Ryan⁩
Sabine Greger and her friend BJ.

A heartfelt thank you to Elisa Anna Ricci for raising 50% of the campaign’s funds through her community,
and to Red Mills, who organized a fundraiser in her village and contributed 25%.
The remaining support came from our wonderful group of volunteers and animal lovers.

A Thank You to Our Volunteers

To all the volunteers who ensured the animals were breathing well after surgery, cleaned their ears and nails, monitored them closely, and made sure every single one woke up safely—
thank you for your unconditional love and care. 💚

Special thanks to:
Judith Gane, Monica, and the young volunteer who helped her.
Thank you Alexis Cress, Nancy Newson, Katrina Amerie, (Jeffrek Ahmed Valverde Treminio, Kathia Campos Gomez, Hazel Sibaja Abarca, Laura Umaña, María Lorena and Don José.

I would also like to thank Elisa, who generously donated leashes, collars, cuddlers, cotton balls, nail clippers, and other essential supplies for the animals.

Thank you as well to Alexis Cress for providing Vitamin B complex, iron supplements for malnourished puppies and mamas, deworming pills, and Neosept spray for post-surgery wound care.

And thank you Karen and Katrina for gathering T-shirts to use as post-surgery vests for the female dogs.

Your presence and support made all the difference.

In Loving Memory

Sadly, we lost one soul during the campaign—an older female dog who had endured many litters and was suffering from a severe uterine infection.
Dr. Ricardo did everything he could to save her, but she passed away peacefully.

Rest in peace, sweet angel.
We wish your owners had been able to spay you earlier.

📣 Next Campaign – Volunteers Needed

Our next spay and neuter campaign will be held in Dominicalito at Teslito Center on Saturday, December 13.
We are aiming to spay and neuter 30 animals, all fully sponsored.

We are looking for:
• Volunteers
• Old T-shirts (to use as post-surgery vests for female dogs)
• Sponsors for the vets’ lunches
• Anyone who would like to assist during the day

If you wish to help or volunteer, please reach me at 8302-7563.
