🐝📚 Ayer jueves vivimos una tarde muy especial en ACCAI, donde el inglés, la lectura y el arte se complementaron para crear una experiencia llena de aprendizaje y creatividad. 🌱✨

A las 3:30 p. m., nuestros niños de materno y transición iniciaron con Little Bees, aprendiendo inglés con canciones, colores y números, mientras practicaban la pronunciación. ¡Y ya cuentan hasta 15 perfectamente en inglés! 🔢👏

A las 4:30 p. m., pasaron al Club de Lectura, donde niños desde materno hasta sexto grado disfrutaron de Caperucita Roja. A través del cuento fortalecimos comprensión, vocabulario, imaginación, expresión oral y pensamiento crítico, incorporando también el arte. 🎨📖 Una de nuestras participantes creó un precioso dibujo de Caperucita, dando vida a la historia desde su propia imaginación. ❤️

🐝📖 Así nuestros programas se complementan: el inglés, la lectura y el arte se convierten en herramientas para desarrollar comunicación, creatividad, confianza y el amor por aprender.

🐝📚 Yesterday, Thursday, we had a wonderful afternoon at ACCAI, bringing together English, reading, and art in a fun and engaging learning experience. 🌱✨

At 3:30 p.m., our Pre-K and Kindergarten children started with Little Bees, learning English through songs, colors, and numbers while practicing their pronunciation. And they can already count all the way to 15 in English! 🔢👏

At 4:30 p.m., they joined our Reading Club, where children from Pre-K through 6th grade enjoyed the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Through the story, we worked on reading comprehension, vocabulary, imagination, oral expression, and critical thinking, while also incorporating art. 🎨📖 One of our participants created a beautiful drawing of Little Red Riding Hood, bringing the character to life through her own imagination. ❤️

🐝📖 This is how our programs complement one another: English, reading, and art come together to build communication skills, creativity, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.

A very special thank you to our wonderful tutors, Myra from Little Bees and Dana from the Reading Club, as well as to all the volunteers who help make these experiences possible. 💛🙌

🎨❤️ Hay regalos que van mucho más allá de lo que podemos ver.

Hoy queremos agradecer de todo corazón a José Francisco Urbina Juárez, artesano y abuelito de una de nuestras estudiantes de ACCAI, quien generosamente nos donó un hermoso caballete. 🙏

Su regalo nos ayudará a habilitar espacios para impartir clases y colocar nuestra pizarra, pero, sobre todo, representa algo mucho más grande: el espíritu de comunidad, solidaridad y acompañamiento que hace posible nuestro trabajo.❤️

💙 Gracias por dejar una huella en ACCAI.

Hay personas que llegan a una organización y otras que se convierten en parte de su historia.

Desde el inicio de ACCAI en 2023, Kristin ha sido una voluntaria excepcional. No solo compartió su tiempo, sus conocimientos y su cariño con nuestros estudiantes, sino que siempre estuvo dispuesta a ayudar a cualquier persona que lo necesitara en todo lo que estuviera a su alcance.

Kristin desempeñó un papel fundamental en el desarrollo del programa de inglés para nuestros estudiantes de primaria y también dedicó muchas horas enseñando inglés a nuestros estudiantes de secundaria, quienes sin duda extrañarán sus clases tan dinámicas, divertidas y entretenidas... ¡y las deliciosas meriendas que siempre les llevaba! 😊

Hoy, Kristin hace una pausa en sus tutorías. Aunque extrañaremos su presencia cada sábado, queremos que sepa que las puertas de ACCAI siempre estarán abiertas para ella y esperamos que algún día pueda regresar para seguir inspirando y apoyando a nuestros estudiantes.

Gracias por creer en nuestra misión desde el principio. Gracias por cada hora de servicio, cada enseñanza, cada palabra de ánimo y cada sonrisa que compartiste con nuestros estudiantes. Tu dedicación ha dejado una huella que nunca olvidaremos.

Some people join an organization, while others become part of its history.

Since ACCAI was founded in 2023, Kristin has been an exceptional volunteer. She not only generously shared her time, knowledge, and kindness with our students, but she was also always willing to help anyone in need in any way she could.

Kristin played a key role in launching ACCAI's English program for our elementary school students, and she also devoted many hours to teaching English to our high school students, who will undoubtedly miss her fun, engaging, and interactive classes... as well as the delicious snacks she always brought for them! 😊

Today, Kristin is taking a break from her tutoring role. Although we will miss her presence every Saturday, we want her to know that the doors of ACCAI will always be open to her, and we hope that one day she will return to continue inspiring and supporting our students.

Thank you for believing in our mission from the very beginning. Thank you for every hour of service, every lesson, every word of encouragement, and every smile you shared with our students. Your dedication has left a lasting mark that we will never forget.

🇫🇷 ¡Las tutorías de Francés ya forman parte del programa académico de los sábados en ACCAI!

En ACCAI creemos que cada estudiante merece el apoyo necesario para alcanzar su máximo potencial.

Al dar seguimiento al desempeño académico de nuestros estudiantes, identificamos que varios jóvenes de 7.°, 8.° y 9.° año necesitaban reforzar la materia de Francés. Por ello, decidimos incorporar las tutorías de Francés como parte del programa académico de los sábados, brindándoles un espacio para fortalecer sus conocimientos, aclarar dudas y prepararse con mayor confianza para sus evaluaciones.

Este importante paso ha sido posible gracias al compromiso y la generosidad de nuestros tutores Caroline, Chris y Dana, quienes dedican su tiempo y conocimientos para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes.

Su dedicación no solo fortalece el aprendizaje del idioma francés, sino que también brinda a nuestros jóvenes una oportunidad más para desarrollar confianza, mejorar su rendimiento académico y alcanzar sus metas.

🇫🇷 French Tutoring Is Now Part of ACCAI's Saturday Academic Program!

At ACCAI, we believe every student deserves the support they need to reach their full potential.

As we monitored our students' academic progress, we identified that several of our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students needed additional support in French. In response, we have officially added French tutoring to our Saturday academic program, giving students the opportunity to strengthen their skills, ask questions, and prepare for their exams with greater confidence.

This important step has been made possible thanks to the commitment and generosity of our volunteers Caroline, Chris, and Dana, who generously dedicate their time and knowledge to supporting our students.

Their dedication not only strengthens our students' French language skills, but also gives them greater confidence, improves their academic performance, and helps them achieve their goals.

A New Chapter Begins at ACCAI: Technology Creating Opportunities! 🌱💻

For more than a year, ACCAI has had an important goal: to provide our high school students with the technological skills they will need for their academic and professional futures.

We knew that many of our students would eventually reach university without having had the opportunity to become familiar with computers. Because of this, we conducted a survey among ACCAI families and discovered a reality that motivated us even more: approximately 75% of households did not have a computer at home.

In February of this year, thanks to Jake Collin’s initiative and the support of his parents and community, a dream began to take shape: raising funds to purchase computer parts and build computers together with our students. Two workshops were held where 8 students learned how to assemble computers from their individual components, developing skills, curiosity, and confidence with technology.

These computers were the first step, but we knew we needed something more: a continuous program where our students could learn, practice, and grow their digital skills.

✨ Finally, thanks to Denise, who helped secure the necessary funding to start, this dream became a reality. On August 1st, we officially launched our Technology Program for ACCAI high school students.

Through this program, students will learn:

💻 Basic Microsoft Office skills
📚 APA formatting guidelines for academic assignments
🤖 Responsible use of Artificial Intelligence as a learning tool

The first day was an incredible experience. We quickly saw how important this program truly is: some students had never connected a USB cable from the CPU to the monitor or were unfamiliar with basic keyboard functions. This reminded us that access to technology cannot be taken for granted; digital skills are also something that must be taught and practiced.

And for us, there is an especially meaningful part of this story: our teacher is Ian Acosta.

Ian was an ACCAI student during our very first year, in 2023. Today, he is close to graduating with a degree in Electronic Engineering and has become an outstanding young entrepreneur, a committed student, and an inspiring example of perseverance.

Seeing him now standing in front of other students, sharing his knowledge and guiding them, represents exactly what we dream of at ACCAI: that our students not only receive opportunities but also one day return to create opportunities for others.

¡Un nuevo capítulo comienza en ACCAI: Tecnología para abrir oportunidades! 🌱💻

Desde hace más de un año nació en ACCAI una inquietud muy importante: brindar a nuestros estudiantes de colegio las herramientas tecnológicas que necesitarán para su futuro académico y profesional.

Sabíamos que muchos de nuestros jóvenes llegarían a la universidad sin haber tenido la oportunidad de familiarizarse con una computadora. Por eso realizamos una encuesta con las familias de ACCAI y descubrimos una realidad que nos motivó aún más: aproximadamente el 75% de los hogares no contaban con una computadora en casa.

En febrero de este año, gracias a la iniciativa de un joven brillante llamado Jake Collins y al apoyo de sus padres y comunidad, comenzó un sueño: recaudar fondos para comprar las partes y construir computadoras junto con nuestros estudiantes. Se realizaron dos talleres donde 8 jóvenes aprendieron a armar computadoras desde sus piezas, desarrollando habilidades, curiosidad y confianza en la tecnología.

Estas computadoras fueron el primer paso, pero sabíamos que necesitábamos algo más: un programa continuo donde nuestros estudiantes pudieran aprender y practicar.

✨ Finalmente, gracias a una gran mujer llamada Denise que vió la necesidad y la importancia de traer un programa como éste, logró conseguir los fondos necesarios para que este sueño se hiciera realidad. El pasado 1 de agosto inauguramos oficialmente nuestro programa de Tecnología para estudiantes de colegio.

Durante estas clases aprenderán:
💻 Manejo básico de Microsoft Office
📚 Reglas de formato APA para sus trabajos académicos
🤖 Uso responsable de la Inteligencia Artificial como herramienta de aprendizaje

El primer día fue una experiencia increíble. Pudimos observar algo que confirmó aún más la importancia de este programa: algunos estudiantes nunca habían conectado un cable USB del CPU al monitor o no conocían funciones básicas del teclado. Esto nos recordó que el acceso a la tecnología no debe darse por sentado; es una habilidad que también necesita ser enseñada.

Y para nosotros hay un detalle muy especial: nuestro profesor es Ian Acosta. Ian fue estudiante de ACCAI desde nuestro primer año, en 2023. Hoy está próximo a graduarse en Ingeniería Electrónica y se ha convertido en un joven emprendedor, comprometido y lleno de perseverancia.

Verlo ahora frente a otros estudiantes enseñando y compartiendo sus conocimientos representa exactamente lo que soñamos en ACCAI: que nuestros jóvenes no solo reciban oportunidades, sino que algún día regresen para crear oportunidades para otros.

💚 Gracias a todas las personas que hicieron posible este proyecto. Cada apoyo, cada donación y cada persona que cree en nuestros estudiantes ayuda a construir un futuro con más posibilidades.

Porque cuando invertimos en educación, tecnología y nuestros jóvenes, estamos sembrando el futuro. 🌱
