From March 28th to April 5th, we had the pleasure of receiving Chesapeake Governor’s School in Costa Rica for a full EPI experience 🌿
The group really enjoyed their time at Lapa Verde Biological Station, where they got to explore the rainforest, go on day and night walks, work with freshwater macroinvertebrates, and learn more about how research is done in the field. Later, at Reserva Pacuare, they had the chance to be part of leatherback sea turtle conservation, join the night censuses, and develop a research project connected to what they were observing in the coastal rainforest.
They also got to experience Costa Rican food, tropical biodiversity, and the difference between learning biology in a classroom and learning it directly in the field. We really enjoyed working with them and hope they left with great memories from Costa Rica and the EPI program.
We hope to see them back soon, continuing to enjoy and be part of the EPI experience in Costa Rica.
With lots of love,
Fer and Pablo :)
