Ahí no importa quién eres afuera.
no te encierra.
Te expande.

THERE ARE CIRCLES THAT LOOK LIKE SQUARES
Many people talk about “circles.” About medicine. About community. About process.
But in practice… not all circles are round.
There are circles that look like squares.
Because everything has to be the same. Because everything has to be “correct.” Because everything has to follow the same form, the same word, the same rhythm, the same idea.
And in the name of medicine… life is lost.
The circle was not born to control.
The circle was born to include.
So that every point has a place.
So there are no corners where someone is left out.
So no one is above and no one is below.
So the word may flow.
That is why the temazcal is circular.
Because inside there are no visible hierarchies.
There, it doesn’t matter who you are on the outside. There, it doesn’t matter what role you play, or how much money you have, or how eloquent your speech is.
There, it is just you… breathing what you are.
That is why the dance is in a circle.
Because you don’t dance to show off. You dance to hold the center.
Each step is not to show off.
It is so that the other may also walk.
The circle is not rigidity.
It is constant movement.
It is adaptation. It is listening. It is presence.
It is knowing when to speak… and when to be silent.
A true circle does not accommodate you.
It confronts you without pushing you out.
It sustains you without controlling you.
It reflects you without embellishing you.
But when the circle becomes rigid…
when everything has to be “as it should be”…
when there is no space for the living…
then it ceases to be a circle.
And it becomes a structure in disguise.
Controlled by pretty words.
In form… but without substance.
Because a circle that cannot move…
is not a circle.
It’s a square that learned to talk about medicine.
And that needs to be said, too.
Not everything called a circle is a path.
Not everything called medicine transforms.
And not everything that sounds profound… is alive.
The true circle
does not confine you.
It expands you.
