CoLaborers Costa Rica

CoLaborers Costa Rica We are a branch of CoLaborers International assisting local organizations reaching women and children in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Currently, we are focusing efforts in the impoverished community of La Carpio. We began serving in San Jose in 2020, helping women and children in the impoverished community of La Carpio. We work alongside locally-led organizations with a focus on women's empowerment, child education, bible studies, and nutrition. We also provide relevant professional trainings, interns, and do an annual nature camp.

We continue to have the privilege of watching young people grow in so many ways, from learning to follow Jesus more deeply, to discovering that they are capable of succeeding in school.

One student earned a 100 on a project he once thought he couldn’t complete. Another began to see that his struggle wasn’t a lack of intelligence; it was a lack of confidence and focus. And one girl went from failing an English exam to earning an A.

These may seem like small victories, but they can change the way a young person sees themselves and their future. And we’re so grateful to walk alongside these kids as they learn, grow, and discover who God created them to be.

A new semester has begun in Costa Rica, and it’s about so much more than a building.
It’s full plates and focused minds.
It’s confidence growing day by day.
It's an opportunity to grow in faith.
It’s a place to belong, learn, and be supported.

These moments are just a glimpse of what’s happening every day. And the impact goes far beyond what you can see.

Thank you for being part of this story. Get involved now at https://colaborersinternational.com/costa-rica/.

We’re still reflecting on an unforgettable 21 days in Costa Rica. Our three interns spent their time building meaningful relationships, supporting educational efforts, and walking alongside 70 incredible students. Every photo in this album tells a story of connection, growth, joy, and impact that goes far beyond what we can measure.

This experience wasn’t just about what they gave, but also what they gained: perspective, purpose, and a deeper understanding of what it means to serve alongside others.

We’re so proud of the work they did and the lives they touched. Learn how you can support our programming in Costa Rica at https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/programming-in-costa-rica.

The joy of the students in our elementary and discipleship programs in Las Gradas is contagious. Whether it's school lessons, games, or learning about Jesus, the smiles never fade. To continue with our theme of the death and resurrection of Jesus, the children learned about how various followers of Jesus reacted to His resurrection. Follow along on their journey and learn how you can support our program at colaborersinternational.com.
