🌿 Volunteers are essential in stopping illegal fishing in Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), illegal gold mining, and wildlife poaching across Costa Rica and Panama.

We support local ranger patrols by providing fuel, boats, and crew-protecting wildlife and habitats in 15 MPAs along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica and Panama.

2 tons of plastic and fishing gear removed from Costa Rica’s Corcovado National Park! 🌿

3 days. 100+ volunteers. One mission - protecting one of the most biodiverse places on earth.

Together, we removed countless bags of plastic, fishing gear, and marine waste washed ashore into the jungle and along the beaches. Hundreds of bags were collected, transported back to our ship Modoc, brought to land, and properly handled with local municipal support.

Huge thanks to for the organizational and the
rangers for overseeing safety throughout the operation.

OUR MISSION: We target environmental crimes like illegal fishing, goldmining and poaching by joint local ranger patrols in Costa Rica & Panama. We provide assets like fuel, boats and crew to protect precious biodiversity.

📍Base of operations is our 45 m ex-navy vessel
Modoc and our best crew is our anti-poaching malinois Appa, who supports us on patrols.

Big media moments on Modoc! 📸🌊

Last week, journalists and TV teams joined and our crew, sharing interviews about the conservation work we’re doing here in Costa Rica.

👏 We’re incredibly grateful to see this story reach over 50 TV segments, radio shows, and media platforms, a huge step in raising awareness for the protection of these ecosystems and the wildlife that depend on them.

🚨In our latest study in the Península de Osa, we found that 100% of the longlines we inspected showed irregularities, and 77% of hooks were using illegal live bait.

🚨 Our monitoring from November 2025 reveals a consistent and concerning pattern of non-compliance in Costa Rica’s South Pacific, putting key species at risk.

🌿 We’re calling for stronger enforcement at sea, increased patrols, better operational resources, and stronger coordination between institutions.
