El Canal del Infiernillo es un área de alta importancia ecológica para la tortuga prieta (Chelonia mydas).
Aquí la comunidad de Punta Chueca, en conjunto con Prescott College y ACT realizan acciones de conservación más efectivas coniuntando el conocimiento tradicional y el monitoreo biológico.

The Infiernillo Channel is an area of high ecological importance for the Green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas). Here, the community of Punta Chueca, together with Prescott College and ACT, is carrying out more effective conservation actions by combining traditional knowledge and biological monitoring.
