🤝🌎 Volunteer Appreciation Month — April 2026 🌎🤝
This month we’ve been reflecting on the gratitude we have for our volunteers - the ones who give their time, skills, creativity, and energy to the community.💛
From local initiatives to international collaborations, volunteering has become an important part of both GCCC and —creating opportunities for connection, learning, and community impact.
We’re incredibly thankful for contributors and volunteers including:
🌱 Kim & Ava leading sustainability and recycling initiatives
🔬 Mr. Chris supporting STEM and Space & Science Club activities
🌿 Parent volunteers like Aurélie helping with field trips and educational resources
🎨 Lisa and bringing art, creativity, and community activities to our events
⚽ Chelsea from supporting sports and recreation
🌎 Visiting groups like integrating volunteering into their travels through Costa Rica
As well as the organizations and initiatives we’ve collaborated alongside, including:

💛 Community initiatives in El Llanito and Santa Rosa
Through both Hope Across Borders and the future vision behind we continue exploring how learning hubs can integrate education, sustainability, volunteering, and community involvement into everyday experiences. 🌍
At GCCC, volunteering and community engagement are intentionally woven into our worldschooling programs because we believe giving back, supporting others, and caring for the environments around us are important parts of education too.
✨ To everyone who has contributed in ways both visible and behind the scenes this year, thank you for being part of the community. 💛
