Seaflower Research and Conservation Foundation

Seaflower Research and Conservation Foundation Marine ecosystems have some of the most threatened ecosystems in the world.

Seaflower Foundation: Science and Education for Ocean Conservation
• NGO at the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve: Caribbean’s Biodiversity Hotspot
• 180,000km2 • 10 Islands and Cays • World’s 3rd Biggest Reef Barrier • +2500 species The many challenges we face to support these ecosystems require scientific information for desicion making, and conservation actions to manage these issues. The Seaflower R

esearch and Conservation Foundation, is a non-profit, non-government organization established in the Island of San Andres, Colombia. The Foundation focuses on research and conservation actions especially in the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve, located in the Caribbean sea. We are engaged in different local and national action plans in order to help build capacity locally and regionally. We are open to all the support we can receive, that can help us achieve a better conservation of our marine resources, and a sustainable use that allows local population to sustain themselves, and marine ecosystems to preserve in time.
