This World Bee Day, we’re celebrating the smallest workers in nature - and the women who protect them. 🐝

Our Dandelion Partner Humble Bee is an Indian social enterprise building a decentralised network of one million women beekeepers embedded within national livelihood and agriculture programmes across India.

By placing women at the centre of managed pollination systems, Humble Bee is turning beekeeping into both a climate resilience pathway and a force for community transformation.

Dandelion of the Week: Siva Sunia 🌼

Siva Sunia is a climate resilience practitioner and youth leader based in Tonga, a small island state in the South Pacific that ranks among the most climate-vulnerable nations on earth.

Laura Cook from our team recently joined Siva on a learning journey on the island of Tongatapu, exploring what climate adaptation truly means in practice. Together, they highlighted that risk only becomes real when it is felt by communities, and that building genuine resilience requires community involvement at every stage.

Across the globe, women are healing the land - and in doing so, healing their communities too. 🌱

Our partner Commonland brings people together to restore landscapes and regenerate the Earth: our common land. Through their holistic 4 Returns Framework, communities anywhere in the world can work with nature and their local ecosystems to drive landscape restoration at scale, proving that when people and the planet are treated as one, transformation follows.

These stories spotlight the women restoring ecosystems, rebuilding communities, and reimagining our relationship with the land - one seedball, one farm, one act of coexistence at a time. 🌍

This week, 56 countries gathered in Santa Marta, Colombia, for the First International Conference on the Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels, not to debate whether to phase out fossil fuels - but how.

Dandelion Vanessa Nakate explains the outcomes from Santa Marta, and what we must hold as we gather for the Second Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels in early 2027 in Tuvalu, co-chaired by Ireland.

This is what momentum looks like. ✊🌼

The blueprint towards Renewable Freedom already exists, and the pioneers are proving it works. 🌍

Together with Planetary Guardians and The B Team, we’ve launched a new report on accelerating the transition away from fossil fuels. 📄

Our Co-Founder Ronda Carnegie reminds us that women, young people, and future generations will live longest with the consequences of the decisions that our leaders make today. It’s time our leaders make the right decisions.

Feminists, Indigenous Peoples, youth, frontline communities, and workers across the globe are united in calling for a fossil free future. 🌼

Tomorrow, as leaders gather in Santa Marta, Colombia for the First Conference on Transitioning Away from Fossil Fuels, we bring clear demands: debt reform, UNFCCC transparency, and subsidy reform. And we proudly stand behind the People’s Declaration for a Rapid, Equitable, and Just Transition for a Fossil-Free Future.
