Mighty Kalipssus—musician, educator, community leader, and one of the founders of Quimbaya Uhuru—is visiting Tkaronto for the first time. Born in Colombia, he is recognized as one of the emcees preserving knowledge about the roots of Hip Hop Kulture on an international level.
Through his work with Quimbaya Uhuru, Kalipssus has developed school programs, social projects, food drives, guerrilla gardening, and environmental recovery initiatives in collaboration with organizations across the world. His artistry reflects these journeys, weaving spiritual insight with a deep recognition of Indigenous origins, while calling for collective awakening and knowledge of self through Hip Hop.
The events will feature live performances, and on September 7 Kalipssus will lead a special workshop and presentation focusing on the educational and community work of Quimbaya Uhuru, presented through a Hip Hop lens.

Their work continues to empower children and youth in Colombia and around the world, carrying forward the principles of Peace, Love, Unity, and having Fun safely.
