Rescate 2025 Day 5, the final day! One last round of PT, a team-building hike just outside of town, followed by cleanup and Graduation. We are incredibly proud of all the hard work, endurance, and dedication these bomberos have shown through this hot and humid week of training. Colombia can be proud of their Bomberos!

Day 4 of Rescate 2025 began with training on ground ladders and firefighter search and rescue. The morning was busy as the bomberos cycled through these teaching stations. After an afternoon break, they headed back to the warehouse training site, ready to tackle night scenarios. The night was spent running through various situations, recapping all the invaluable training they received throughout the week. Proud of these bomberos and Voluntera+Rio as the pressed through the heat, humidity and long house this week.

**Day 3 of Rescate 2025** found our team split between two training sites. **Hoseline management** was taught at the fire station we’ve been working at all week. Meanwhile, the other half of the Bomberos and Soter were at a second training site training on **vehicle rescue**. All endured some extreme hot weather conditions to make this training happen. We finished the day with a bonfire, s’mores, and conversations about **God, Salvation, and Love. ** All the while Volunta+Rio was by our sides supporting evreyone.

Day 2 of Rescate 2025, refining the skills taught yesterday with more practice and putting them to use in scenarios. Today and everyday, we honor our ministry partners here in Colombia, El Rio Iglesia and their ministry team Volunta+Rio. While Soter has 9 members in-country training, Volunta+Rio has over 50 members supporting this mission. They’re always there for us, from translation to cooking meals. Without them, none of this would be possible. Love GOD, Love People, Make Disciples.
