Dearest Earth🌏,
You are our only home,
Our only mother, Earth.
Every blade of grass,
Every grain of sand,
Every breath of air is a gift from you -
Unearned, yet given so unconditionally.
I’m sorry for the scars
We’ve carved into your heart,
The poison we’ve spilled into your veins,
The fever we’ve cast into your skies.
Wounded and weary,
You still turn toward the sun,
Still bloom in cracks of concrete,
Still offer us tomorrow.
Today, on Earth Day,
And every day forward,
I promise to love you, not just in words,
but in action.
To tread more lightly,
To listen more deeply,
To remember that our hands are yours -
Meant to hold, not harm.
With all the love and wonder you inspire,
Your Earthlings 💙👶🏻💚
