The Badi Foundation is a non-governmental development organization dedicated to releasing the potential of individuals and institutions in China to advance their own communities. The foundation facilitates th

e establishment of community-based organizations, partnering with them to design and implement education and training programs, and building their capacity to collaborate with government to promote balanced development. The Badi Foundation was established in Macau in 1990, where it is registered as a non-profit charitable organization. The foundation established a representative office in Beijing, registered under the State Administration for Industry and Commerce of the People’s Republic of China since 1997.

A three day summer Moral Empowerment through Langauge (METL) Programme activity was successfully held with Form 1 Studens from Macao Pooi To Middle School from 16-18 July 2024. In addition to participants from extra-curricular METL activities that had taken place during the school year, other students were invited to join. The theme was co-operation and self knowledge. The participants studied a lesson on understanding the role of each member in the community from the text Walking the Straight Path, and engaged in meaningful activities associated with each theme. Two youth served as animators and were supported by two teachers from Pooi To. They planned and carried out a service activity by preparing a light lunch for each other on the last day.
