Shaun the Sheep Builds "The Scrap Flyer" – A New Magic Bikes for the Whole Family at Skånes Djurpark. On 2nd July 2026, Skånes Djurpark unveiled this year's major new summer attraction.
The 20,000 square metre Shaun the Sheep Land (Fåret Shaun Land) is expanding, and the area can now be experienced from a completely new bird's-eye perspective.
The new attraction, The Scrap Flyer (Skrotflygaren), has been created by Shaun the Sheep and his flock, allowing guests to fly high above the park. The Sheep Take Matters Into Their Own Hooves Shaun the Sheep and the flock have decided to build their very own attraction as an addition to the fairgrounds in Shaun the Sheep Land. During the night, they have "borrowed" parts from the Farmer's scrap pile – including bicycles, fans, paint, and a
cement mixer – to build their flying machine. The result is The Scrap Flyer, an interactive ride developed in a collaboration between Skånes Djurpark, the British animation studio Aardman, and Zamperla.
All guests over 90 centimetres tall are welcome to test the flock's invention, which lifts off the ground as the riders pedal.
"This is a highly anticipated expansion of Shaun the Sheep Land that doubles the fun and spreads plenty of high-flying joy this summer. I am also particularly proud that the flock's invention highlights recycling as a theme, encouraging us all to reflect and
reuse things," says Glenn André Eikelund, CEO of Skånes Djurpark.
Pedal-Powered Flight Over the Farm Every flying bicycle is unique in both color and shape; Shaun the Sheep has made sure to include his favourite colors, and the mischievous pigs have left their clear
marks on another. The flock has also ensured that more people can join the adventure by building a specially designed, wheelchair-accessible flying machine where guests fly using arm power instead of pedaling.
