Bicycle Film Festival is coming BACK to San Diego at the Museum of Photographic Arts at The San Diego Museum of Art on July 25th, 2026.

BFF San Diego presents three international short film programs:
300pm CINEMATIC SHORTS
500pm ADVENTURE SHORTS
800pm URBAN BIKE SHORTS

We’re stoked to welcome Madison Cranford to the BikeSD Board of Directors!

Madison is a born-and-raised San Diegan, Transportation Planner at Caltrans, daily bike and transit rider, and recent SDSU Master of City Planning graduate. She was the lead on State of the Ride: Evaluating Bicycle Infrastructure Implementation and Network Performance in San Diego, the award-winning SDSU capstone project completed in partnership with BikeSD.

Madison brings a deep commitment to active transportation, environmental sustainability, and equitable city planning. Her leadership and firsthand experience navigating San Diego by bike and transit will help guide BikeSD as we continue working toward a more bikeable and livable San Diego for all.

One of the lesser known cuts in Mayor Gloria’s draft budget targets the city’s multi-modal team, the team responsible for the lifesaving street updates being made across San Diego to help people move around safely.

For someone who talks a lot about public safety, threatening to eliminate the team behind traffic safety sends a pretty contradictory message. Traffic safety IS public safety.

As continues to invest into safer streets, they must prioritize the wellbeing and safety of some of our most vulnerable neighbors: children.

This audit sheds light on missing infrastructure and how the City of San Diego can better protect the lives our parents and young ones.
