葉子啓，生長於台北，定居台南。修習西洋文學，曾任文學雜誌社編輯，大專講師，自由翻譯與寫作。2002年轉進現場行為藝術領域。曾在歐美亞20多國發表作品及展出作品文獻。作品形式多樣，內容廣泛，可幽默可嚴肅，細膩且敏銳，極簡而深刻。作品榮獲澳門藝術博物館收藏，2020台灣雙年展的參展藝術家之一。2003年創辦「阿川行為群」，致力推廣行為藝術在台灣的發展與國際連結。
Born and grew up in Taipei, Yeh Tzu-Chi now lives in Tainan. She studied Western literature and worked as a literary magazine editor, college lecturer, and freelance translator and writer before she turns to the field of performance art. She has shown her performance art and documents in over 20 countries across Europe, America, and Asia. Her works are diverse in form and broad in content, ranging from humorous to serious, delicate, insightful and sensitive, as well as minimalist yet profound. Her works have been collected by the Macau Museum of Art, and she was one of the participating artists of the 2020 Taiwan Biennale. In 2003, she founded "ArtTrend Performance Group," dedicated to promoting the development and international connections of performance art in Taiwan.
