🇸🇰 Happy National Day, Slovakia!
🤝 Connecting Slovakia, Europe and Southeast Asia through Research 🤝

The research sector in Slovakia is characterized by a dynamic landscape of scientific inquiry and innovation. With a growing emphasis on technological advancement and sustainable development, research institutions across the country are actively engaged in diverse fields ranging from materials science and engineering to biotechnology and environmental studies. Through , Slovak institutions collaborate with researchers and organisations across Southeast Asia and the world. One example is the ongoing Staff Exchange Project ODDEA:

🌏 ODDEA - Overcoming Digital Divide in Europe and Southeast Asia
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted how essential digital technologies have become for economies, public services and everyday life. At the same time, it exposed persistent inequalities in access to digital technologies and opportunities. The ODDEA project examines digitalisation and the digital divide across the EU, Montenegro and Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. The project aims to strengthen research collaboration on digitalisation and contribute to a better understanding of the factors that shape digital inclusion and access to digital opportunities.

🇸🇰 Slovak Coordinator: Ekonomická univerzita v Bratislave
