We invite you to take part in the VII SCO Model — a format where you can get hands-on experience as a representative of a state, discuss a pressing issue, and, together with other participants, reach a common solution.

This year, participants can choose one of three sections:

1. Council of Heads of State — Digitalization in government institutions: how digital tech transforms government work, its opportunities and challenges.

2. Council of Heads of Government — Use and distribution of water resources: tackling water availability and finding solutions that balance states’ interests.

3. Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs — Preserving traditional values through intercultural communication: how cultures interact and retain their identity through dialogue and cooperation.

The Faculty of International Relations of Belarusian State University and the SCOLAR Minsk Hub invite you to take part in the International Round Table “III Minsk Model SCO” on November 5, 2026.

The Round Table will include a plenary session (with online connection) and two in-person youth sections.

The youth sections will involve prepared presentations and a business game in the format of simulating meetings of SCO bodies. Postgraduate students, master’s students, and undergraduate students of higher education institutions of Belarus and other SCO countries are invited to participate.

The format of the sections is in-person (Faculty of International Relations of BSU, Belarus, Minsk, 20 Leningradskaya St.).

Topic of Section 1 and the simulation of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government: “Synergy of Startups and High Technologies in the SCO Space” (working language – Russian).

Topic of Section 2 and the simulation of the meeting of the Council of National Coordinators: 《上合组织旅游共同体：跨境旅游新机遇》 (“SCO Tourism Community: New Opportunities for Cross-Border Tourism”) (working language – Chinese).

On September 30, 2026, the SCOLAR Network Tashkent Hub, together with the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan, held a presentation of the platform.🌐

The event opened with a welcome speech by Kabuljon Sabirov, Director of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy in Uzbekistan. Shirin Abidova, Head of the Association of Volunteers of Uzbekistan, then gave a truly inspiring speech. She spoke to the young audience about believing in themselves, taking initiative and not being afraid to start. A special video message came from SCOLAR headquarters in Beijing, where Victoria Khu, president of SCOLAR Network, greeted the Tashkent Hub and its new team.

Muslimbek Ergashbaev, former coordinator of the platform on behalf of the SCO Center for Public Diplomacy, told the story of how the hub began and grew. Then three curators from different years, Fazliddin Jamalov, Mukhammadshokh Khusenov and Timur Razakov, joined a panel discussion. They shared how SCOLAR Network shaped their studies and careers, and talked about why belonging to such communities matters so much for young people.

The new curator of the Tashkent Hub, Ezoza Mukhamedova, presented the hub’s projects, areas of work and plans for the future.🎉

On September 30, 2026, SCOLAR Minsk Hub, together with the Department of Oriental Studies at the Faculty of International Relations of Belarusian State University (BSU), held the 4th round of student debates under the general theme “Asia and Africa: Foreign Policy Vector.”🌐

This event was particularly significant for hub: it marked a milestone: the 20th event organized by SCOLAR Minsk hub.🎉🥳

The debates brought together 1st–4th year students from the BSU Faculty of International Relations majoring in Oriental Studies, African Studies, International Conflict Studies, International Relations, International Law, and International Logistics, as well as students from Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University named after N.A. Dobrolyubov, who are completing an internship at the Faculty of International Relations.

After a hard-fought contest, the winning team was the group of 1st-year students majoring in International Conflict Studies. Congratulations to the winners!

IJF 2026 Event Recap

On 27 August 2026, SCOLAR Network and BeHive co-organized the 5th Beijing International Job Fair — the flagship career event of the HICOOL 2026 Global Entrepreneur Summit. The fair brought international professionals, graduates, job seekers, employers and professional communities together under one roof.

The event welcomed more than 800 participants representing 40+ nationalities, 25+ companies and 20+ community partners. The program featured career workshops, panel discussions, expert fireside chats and organization roadshows.

Peter Edwards led a practical workshop on designing a dream career. During the industry panel, representatives from New Oriental, Hello Career and JinShang discussed what, beyond a strong CV, contributes to long-term professional success. Tim Luan shared his experience of working in both startups and corporations, while Billy Huang explored the skills professionals need in the age of artificial intelligence.

During the company roadshow, employers introduced their organizations and open positions. International communities also presented their initiatives and opportunities to get involved. Participants could speak directly with recruiters, ask questions, join on-the-spot interviews and discover new career opportunities.

The venue remained lively throughout the day. Professional introductions developed into interviews and mentoring conversations, while the lounge became a welcoming networking space. Pizza, lucky draws and a final group photo added to the warm and friendly atmosphere.

We thank all the companies, speakers, partners, volunteers and participants who made IJF 2026 possible. SCOLAR is pleased to present our partner‘s event, registration now open for the 2026 World Russian Championship for Foreigners, held annually with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The event is aimed at promoting the Russian language and culture and brings together thousands of young people from various countries. We sincerely invite young Russian‑language speakers to take part in this championship.

The Championship is a team-based intellectual competition for foreign nationals aged 16 to 35 who are studying the Russian language.

Team Composition:

1 mentor (aged 21 or older, proficient in Russian) and 3 participants.

Participants are divided into three divisions:

· Foreign nationals residing in any country worldwide (except Russia and the CIS countries);
· Foreign nationals from CIS member states, the Republic of Abkhazia, the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, and the Republic of South Ossetia;
· Foreign nationals studying at Russian higher education institutions.

Schedule of the Championship:

· Qualifying round (online, July–October 2026). Participants take tests for knowledge of the Russian language and culture, fill out a portfolio, and record a team video presentation. Weekly additional tasks are rewarded with bonus points, thereby enabling even students who underperform in tests to showcase their strengths;

· Final (in-person, Moscow, November 19–23, 2026). The top 30 teams are invited to participate. The final program includes intellectual and creative challenges: solving team-based situational tasks, debates, an intellectual tournament, and essay writing.

What participants receive:

· Finalists will receive reimbursement of travel expenses, accommodation, and meals during the final stage;
· Winners and prize-winners will be granted the right to enroll in higher education institutions of the Russian Federation, and will also take part in the award ceremony and the conferment of the honorary title of World Champion in the Russian Language.
