OUR VISION:

* To take in orphaned infants and children with special physical and medical needs and provide them with a caring and secure environment in as close to a normal home environment as possible,
* to work closely with the local Child Welfare Institutes to seek out the very best medical solution for each child’s physical challenge and facilitate their treatment in order to give these children the very best opportunities for the future,
* to employ and train local staff, as well as work closely with the local community to help support the staff’s needs, to provide appropriate opportunities for volunteers to be involved,
* and to keep accurate records of the children’s development so that each has a written history.

🎊 Today in Australia, Dr. Joyce Hill and her husband, Robin, are waking up to her 77th birthday!

This is so significant because more than 10 years ago, an extreme medical event almost claimed her life. But by God’s grace, she “beat the odds” and continues to thrive to this day.

Looking back over her life, we are always amazed at what God has done through her, and today is the day we get to honor and celebrate her!

If you’ve never read her remarkable story, check out the book she wrote, The Obedient Daughter (also in audio format). It is a truly fascinating life story.

Just two more days until the big day arrives! We’re so thankful that Dr. Joyce and Robin chose to stay in China and do all they could to help the orphaned children all those years ago. What a difference it made to so many.

June 1st is celebrated as International Children’s Day in many nations, including China! It honors the happiness, well-being, and rights of children.

At Maria’s Luoyang Hope Healing Home, the day was filled with simple moments of fun and love—including lots of bubbles! 🫧 As the children watched bubbles drift through the air, there were smiles, laughter, and moments of pure delight. Our staff was able to capture some of these moments and we’re grateful to share them with you!

Every spring, the city of Luoyang in Henan, China, bursts into color for its famous Peony Festival 🌸
Known as the “City of Peonies,” Luoyang has celebrated these blooms for more than 1,500 years, and peonies are often called the “king of flowers” in Chinese culture—symbolizing beauty, honor, peace, and prosperity.
We loved getting to capture these sweet smiles among the flowers this season

Joyful greetings to you today! The staff of New Hope in China and those who reside in different places throughout the world are happily going about this blessed vocation of caring for the precious children still entrusted to us. Each of us knows that we can be confident in this calling because our God can be trusted. What a daily comfort it is to know that His ways are perfect and He always knows best.

It seems the winds are always shifting, and 2026 may prove to be yet another year of significant changes for New Hope. We’ll be sharing some about the possibilities later in a special section of the newsletter. You’ll also find the stats from the Healing Home, our gratitude for your faithfulness, and how you can help us in this ongoing work.
