Guided by top-level planning, China's practice of poverty alleviation through education has covered a wide range of areas, including adolescent development, universal primary education, improvement of higher education, and human resource investment in poverty-stricken areas. Efforts have been made to promote the integrated development of compulsory education in urban and rural areas, with the aim of advancing educational equity. At the same time, the Action Plan for Three-Year Preschool Education has been implemented to safeguard children's access to preschool education. Opportunities for students in poverty-stricken areas to receive senior high school, vocational, and higher education have also been incorporated into policy planning.
As a result of these efforts, significant improvements have been made in educational infrastructure and teacher capacity in poverty-stricken areas, while disparities in the distribution of educational resources between urban and rural areas have been substantially reduced.
