🌍 GCSAYN at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026

The Climate Smart Agriculture Youth Network Global (GCSAYN) was proud to participate in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum 2026 in Geneva, Switzerland, contributing to global conversations on the future of youth, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.

As part of the AI for Good Youth Alliance side event, participants explored the theme:

"Catalyzing Youth-Led Digital Public Infrastructure: A Philanthropic Roadmap for Human-Centric AI and Global Equity."

The session brought together youth leaders, AI innovators, researchers, development partners, and global organizations to discuss how emerging technologies can be designed and governed to serve humanity while ensuring young people are active contributors, not merely beneficiaries of digital transformation.

Through partnerships with organizations including UNFPA, Global Youth Philanthropy, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), and other global stakeholders, GCSAYN continues to create opportunities for young people to engage in international policy dialogue, innovation, and sustainable development.

These engagements reaffirm our commitment to empowering youth with the knowledge, networks, and platforms needed to shape a more inclusive, equitable, and technology-driven future.

Together, we are building a generation of young leaders equipped to drive meaningful impact across agriculture, climate action, artificial intelligence, and sustainable development.

A new chapter has commenced.

Following the successful completion of the GCSAYN Cohort 5 Internship Programme, our most impactful internship cohort to date, we are proud to officially welcome our graduates into the GCSAYN Mentorship Program 2026, a platform designed to nurture the next generation of leaders driving sustainable change across Africa and beyond.

On Friday, 26th June 2026, mentees, mentors, and young professionals from across our global network gathered for the inaugural mentorship session, marking the beginning of a journey centered on learning, collaboration, innovation, and purposeful leadership.

Theme:
🌱 Leading Through Communication: Empowering Youth for Climate Resilience and Global Impact

The session introduced participants to the expectations of the mentorship programme, encouraged them to define their career aspirations and areas of passion, and reinforced the importance of communication, accountability, teamwork, and lifelong learning in shaping impactful leaders.

Over the coming months, mentees will engage with experienced professionals and global experts, gaining practical guidance, expanding international networks, and strengthening their capacity to champion climate-smart agriculture, food systems transformation, youth development, and sustainable solutions within their communities.

This mentorship journey is more than a programme, it is an investment in people, purpose, and the future.

Together, we are raising leaders who will not only respond to today's challenges but shape tomorrow's solutions.

Here's to a transformative and impactful mentorship journey ahead!
