NGO to empower the girl child in our community.

Yesterday, on May 28, 2025, we at Golden Heart Foundation proudly joined the global observance of Menstrual Hygiene Day, themed “Together for a ”. Our team visited Kings and Queens College in Mutengene to engage with students on the importance of menstrual hygiene management as per UN-Water
Through interactive discussions, we addressed common myths, emphasized the significance of proper hygiene practices, and highlighted the impact of menstruation on girls' education and well-being. To support these young individuals, we distributed sanitary pads, ensuring they have the necessary resources to manage their menstrual health with dignity.
This initiative aligns with our commitment to breaking taboos and fostering an environment where menstruation is understood and respected. By empowering students with knowledge and resources, we take a step closer to a world where no one is held back because of their period. ..Because this is what I love doing I'd take a flight from anywhere in the world to join my dedicated team.

The Golden Heart Foundation is an NGO founded to empower the girl child, mindful of the protocol to the African charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, on the Right of Women in Africa (Maputo protocol), mindful of the convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against the Woman (CEDAW). This foundation accompanies all these conventions on the rights of the girl child and see into it that the girl child is educated, bring out the spirit of leadership and entrepreneurship in the girl, makes it possible for the girl child to do a vocational training, food production, offer school material to the girl child to facilitate her studies; organize sensitization campaigns for the general public to talk about the necessity of sending the girl child to school; organize end of year prize award ceremonies and give prizes to the first 10 girls in each class.
