It was an immense pleasure that the President of Noble Eagles Association Yaounde who is also a member of BloodTrack Association had a panel discussion with Prof Tayou Claude, head of medico-technical department of National Blood Transfusion Services (NBTS) and Dr Sulem Ingrid, Heamatologist at the Yaounde University Teaching Hospital.
The discussion focuses on why blood donation isn't a national habit. Such reasons may include; lack of insufficient information, misconceptions on blood donation, past negative experiences, time constraints, fear and anxiety, insufficient investment by the government for save storage, demand and supply of blood etc
The discussion also centered on the importamce and advantages of blood donation to both the donor and the recipient.
