Where we began.......

The International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Students Associations, IFBLSA, is an NGO of students and for students. It advocates the profession, closes the knowledge gap between students and practitioners as well as energizing sustainable diagnosis across the globe through research, innovation and application of professional knowledge with holistic care.

It is a product of the African Union of Medical Laboratory Students, which had gotten recognition from the African Society for Laboratory Medicine, ASLM, a continental professional body. It was conceived in 2019, 3 years after the creation of AUMLS, to coordinate the medical Laboratory student body across the globe. IFBLSA works through networking with national laboratory student bodies in every country to garnish the diagnostic knowledge and harmonise training in the profession.
