The Bridgers Association and Partners within the context of AIDS-Free Holidays campaign (Vacances Sans SIDA) organized free and voluntary HIV testing and sensitization session yesterday 23 July 2026 at a major junction in Yaounde, Fougerol Market.

Focusing on abstinence, fidelity or condom strategy, this outreach progam also included the distribution of both male and female condoms as well as lubricants.
Our campaign continues to other strategic locations.

The Bridgers Association regularly conducts similar health outreach activities, including mass sensitization and screening campaigns for HIV and malaria in public spaces. The organization's work aligns with the national campaign's goals of community-level sensitization and voluntary testing.

Community Outreach

Over the past weeks, June -July 2026, the Bridgers Association team has been actively engaging with communities in Nkongsamba, located in the Littoral Region of Cameroon.
During these visits, we shared messages of love, hope, encouragement, and unity/peacebuilding while providing meaningful support to older adults in the community ages 60 - 90 years.

As part of our outreach, we applied pain-relief balms to help ease aches and discomfort in the arms and legs of our elderly beneficiaries. We also provided health education on practical lifestyle habits that can promote comfort, wellness, and a better quality of life during this important stage of aging.

In addition, we distributed essential groceries to individuals and families in need, helping to address immediate nutritional needs and demonstrate our commitment to compassionate service.

The experience was deeply rewarding and reinforced our determination to do even more. At Bridgers Association, our mission is rooted in love, empowerment, and encouragement. We proudly serve communities across Cameroon and beyond.

Join us as we continue making a positive impact, one community at a time.

On June 13, 2026, Bridgers Association marked World Albinism Awareness Day in Bafia, in the Mbam and Inoubou Division of the Center Region of Cameroon.

We brought together more than 90 community members to break myths, promote inclusion, and defend the rights of persons with albinism.

Through open dialogue, 30 participants took public and written commitments to fight discrimination and build a more respectful and resilient society.

Change starts with awareness. Inclusion is everyone’s responsibility.

World Environment Day 2026

Bridgers Association, Bridging communities, nurturing nature.

In the lead-up to World Environment Day 2026, Bridgers Association, in collaboration with partner organizations, hosted an impactful environmental awareness activity at the Divine Orphanage on June 4, 2026.

“Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.”

The session began with an educational video highlighting the harmful effects of plastic waste on water bodies and aquatic life. The children learned how plastic pollution threatens fish, disrupts ecosystems, and endangers the environment as a whole.

Following the presentation, the children expressed their understanding through creative drawings focused on nature and environmental protection. Their enthusiasm and artistic insight revealed a growing awareness of the importance of caring for our planet.

To symbolically root this learning in action, two trees were planted at the entrance of the orphanage representing hope, growth, and our shared commitment to a greener, more sustainable future.

Every child educated today becomes an environmental steward for tomorrow.

Together, we are building bridges to a healthier planet.

World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026

The Bridgers Association was at École Publique (Government Primary School) Balamba in the Mbam and Inoubou Division of the Center Region in Cameroon to celebrate World Menstrual Hygiene Day with the pupils of the Senior Primary School.

Raising their awareness and sensitizing these very young pupils on issues surrounding Menstruation and Menstrual Hygiene Management was our focus.

We sensitized them on various Menstrual Hygiene Management kits and distributed some to the girls.

It is important for everyone to understand menstruation from an early age.

A total of 36 pupils (girls) ages 10 - 15 were part of this program. At the end of the day a focused group discussion was held and it has been agreed that further follow-up will continue on sensitive topics and matters that touches on the life and growth of young girls.

World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026

Together for a period-friendly world.

Bridgers Association and Partners successfully carried out an interactive Menstrual Hygiene awareness and education session in Victoria Comprehensive High School Limbe impacting over 200 enthusiastic and passionate students.

Held on 5/5/2026, it was strategically implemented thanks to the joint initiative of Idealist, Building Minds Africa and Rising Hope Foundation.

No one can solve the challenges of menstrual health alone, but by uniting, we can ensure no woman or girl is held back because she menstruates.
