Africa’s future is at a crossroads. Despite accounting for 17% of the world’s population, the continent contributes just 3% to global and hosts 7 of the 10 fastest-growing populations globally (World Bank, 2024). With over 12 million young Africans entering the labor market each year but only 3 million created, the need for innovative and inclusive has never been greater.
On October 14, 2025, the Denis & Lenora Foretia Foundation, through the Nkafu Policy Institute in collaboration with African Union Development Agency AUDA NEPAD and Afrobarometer, will host the Africa @ World Bank Annual Meetings at the Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C., a high-level platform to amplify Africa’s voice in shaping global governance.
