Day of the African Child

On the Day of the African Child, we celebrate every child’s right to dream without fear. Your voice matters. Your future is not up for debate.

But truth matters too. Too many African children still face poverty, child labor, and barriers to education and healthcare, including lack of clean water, safe toilets, and basic hygiene.

For children displaced by Cameroon’s Anglophone Crisis since 2016, the pain is deeper: lost homes, burned schools, stolen years, and often no safe water to drink.

This is defiance. This is hope. We must protect learning, provide clean water and safe sanitation, listen to children, and demand peace. _WASH access is not a privilege. It’s the foundation for health, education, and dignity._

To every displaced child, your pain is seen, your future is bright, keep moving.

Day 5: Celebrating Achievement and New Beginnings (March 29, 2026)

On the fifth and final day, participants celebrated completing their training by receiving certificates of completion and startup capital. This milestone honored their dedication and hard work while giving them practical support to launch small businesses.

The day was filled with excitement and hope, marking the start of their journey toward financial independence, self-sufficiency, and a more stable future

Day 4: Business Plan Development and
Implementation ( 26 March,2026).
This day aims to support participants by developing and implementing a sustainable business plan, enhancing their economic empowerment and minimizing business challenges.

Day 3: Detergent (March 25, 2026)

Participants engaged in hands-on training, learning to produce body lotion, medicated soap, laudary soap and different types of perfumes. The practical sessions covered:
- Ingredient selection and measurement
- Effective mixing techniques
- Maintaining proper hygiene

The training fostered creativity and attention to detail, equipping participants with in-demand skills for small business opportunities and financial growth .

Day 2: Detergent production

On March 24, 2026, women were empowered through a detergent production skills initiative. On day two, they received hands-on training in making everyday cleaning products like liquid soap, glass cleaner, Vaseline, and Javel. The sessions were engaging and simple, equipping them with marketable skills to start small businesses and boost their livelihoods. The training fostered self-reliance and empowerment, leaving the women equipped to improve their economic prospects.

Day One: Pastry and Packaging Skills (23 March 2026)

On 23 March 2026, the training commenced with a focus on pastry and packaging skills, equipping participants with the knowledge to prepare items such as egg rolls, fish pies, meat pies, puff loaves, and liguid soap, seasalt etc. The session emphasized essential techniques including accurate measurement, hygiene, and effective product presentation.

In addition to technical skills, the training fostered confidence, teamwork, and a renewed sense of purpose among the participants. It also empowered them with the tools and motivation needed to achieve financial independence and build sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.
