The long holiday is here, and so is the 8th Edition of Vacances Sans Grossesses (Holidays Without Pregnancy), running from July to September 2026.
Every holiday, thousands of young people look forward to rest, fun and new experiences. Unfortunately, this period also comes with increased exposure to peer pressure, misinformation and risky behaviours that can result in unintended teenage pregnancies and other sexual and reproductive health challenges.
At Welisane Foundation, we believe that every young person deserves the knowledge, confidence and support to make informed decisions about their future. That is why Vacances Sans Grossesses returns with an exciting lineup of educational and recreational activities designed to keep young people engaged while equipping them with life-changing information.
This year's activities include:
• Radio and TV programmes
• Holiday classes in partnership with educational institutions
• ICT and coding programmes for girls
• Dance classes
• Sporting tournaments
• S*xual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) education sessions
• Peer education and community outreach
Our goal remains the same: to reduce teenage pregnancies, empower young people with accurate information about their bodies, and encourage them to prioritise their education and future.
