As schools in Cameroon close their doors for the summer holidays, we engaged in week long activities with the members of the Climate Change and Innovation club at the Blessed Bilingual Education Center, Ebang. Our eco champions were engaged in nurturing and pruning trees at the school garden, advocacy activities, and presenting club activities at the school closing ceremony.
Inspired by the theme of the 2026 Environment Day: "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. Four our future." The students encouraged their peers to take climate action and promote the SDGs in their respective communities during the summer break.
At suhucam, we believe that sustainable development can only be achieved when young people are nutured, empowered, and supported to take climate action.

🌍 Climate action starts where we are

World Environment Day, observed on 5 June, reflects a reality many communities are already living.

Through years of working in frontline communities, we have seen how climate change is driving ecosystem degradation and biodiversity loss, directly affecting people’s lives and livelihoods. Our environment is under pressure, and protecting it is a shared responsibility.

This year’s theme, “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” is a reminder that the response cannot wait.

At Support Humanity Cameroon (SUHUCAM), this is the reality we engage with every day. It is why we continue to support communities, strengthen resilience, and promote solutions rooted in local realities.

Celebrating our restoration champions. Over the years, we have had hundreds of community volunteers support our restoration efforts. No amount of money can pay for such efforts. At SUHUCAM, we believe that we can only , when communities lead.

the LCOY Cameroon 2026 Organizing Team! The Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) Cameroon 2026 is calling on passionate, committed young people from across the country to join our organizing team. This is your opportunity to help shape Cameroon’s most impactful youth climate event and to amplify African youth voices in the global climate conversation. We are looking for driven, collaborative who are ready to take meaningful action for climate justice.

We are looking for categories of volunteers:
Coordinators! One coordinator per region, across all ten regions of Cameroon to serve as the face of in their communities
Groups! We are also forming the following working groups, with multiple positions available in each:

🌿Acting locally for global impact

Today, on the for , we join the global community in recognizing the vital role biodiversity plays in on Earth.

Biodiversity is part of everyday life. It feeds communities, supports health through traditional medicine, protects us from disease, and strengthens resilience against climate change.

UN - Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, 2021-2030Plant-for-the-Planet🔴Restoration Project Update

Our took a powerful turn last week with full community support in the tree planting activity.

Over two days, we came together to to prepare the site and plant more than 500 indigenous and water friendly trees around the catchment area.

We also distributed 50+ economic and agroforestry tree species to participants to boast agroforestry practices and enhance local livelihoods.

In the coming days, we will be joining the community to continue planting trees around the Atokop catchment area for this project which is funded by UN - Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, 2021-2030, UN Decade Youth Task Force,
