It was a distinct honor to speak at the African Youth and Transformational Leadership Conference, a truly impactful platform for advancing youth leadership across the continent.
In my address on “Building Responsible Leaders: The Role of Mindset, Skills, and Systems in Shaping Africa’s Future,” I emphasized that responsible leadership begins with a transformational mindset grounded in integrity, resilience, and purpose. I further highlighted the importance of equipping young leaders with critical, future-ready skills—such as strategic thinking, adaptability, collaboration, and problem-solving—necessary to navigate today’s complex global landscape.

Equally important are the systems within which leadership operates. Sustainable impact depends on building inclusive, transparent, and accountable structures that enable innovation and long-term progress.

The level of engagement and commitment demonstrated by participants was both inspiring and affirming, reflecting a generation ready to lead with vision and responsibility. This conference was not merely a dialogue, but a catalyst for transformation.

The SACAP Bamenda Capacity Building Camp was a two days hybrid technical training program organized by NEW VISIONS AGRICULTURE – SACAP BAMENDA PROJECT, in Partnership with University of Bamenda and TAGDev 2.0 on 27th and 28th of March 2026, under the theme: ADVANCING SUSTAINABLE CLIMATE-SMART PROFITABLE AGRICULTURE SYSTEMS. The focus of this training was on modern agricultural production systems, climate-smart farming techniques, and enterprise

farming strategies under climate change, and integrated livestock systems, supported by

Youths, architects of lasting peace

22/09/2025

Yesterday, 21st September 2025, International Day of Peace, we affirm that education is one of the most powerful tools to prevent youth radicalization and conflict by fostering critical thinking, tolerance, and inclusion. Beyond literacy, education must cultivate respect for diversity, equip learners with skills for peaceful conflict resolution, and create opportunities that shield youth from the lure of extremism. By transforming schools into sanctuaries of peace, teachers into ambassadors of dialogue, and students into champions of coexistence, we can silence voices of hate and empower young people to become true leaders of peace. . Education is not a silver bullet against radicalization and conflict participation, but it is one of the most sustainable and transformative tools available. By fostering critical thinking, tolerance, socio-economic empowerment, and civic participation, education addresses both the root causes and the immediate drivers of youth radicalization. For education to be effective in this role, it must be inclusive, accessible, and relevant to the lived realities of young people. In doing so, education becomes a cornerstone of peacebuilding and a safeguard for future generations.
Thank you SELA Foundation for organizing this round table to celebrate International PEACE DAY, come 21st September 2025 at Mboa Hub Yaounde.

You are all invited.

History was made today!

African youths are the driving force behind the continent's development, bringing energy, creativity, and innovation to the table. With the right support and resources, they can unlock their potential and contribute to sustainable growth and prosperity. Education, entrepreneurship, and digital literacy are key areas where youths can make a significant impact. By empowering African youths, we can unlock a demographic dividend that can propel the continent's economic growth and development. Ultimately, investing in African youths is crucial for Africa's bright future and global competitiveness.
