Conserve Today. Secure Tomorrow. 🦍
The Cross River gorilla is the world's rarest great ape, found only along the Nigeria–Cameroon border. With less than 300 left in the wild.
ERuDeF is working across the Lebialem Highlands, Mone Forest Reserve, and the Tofala Hill Wildlife Sanctuary to protect these critically endangered gorillas and reconnect their fragmented forest habitats.
Through habitat restoration, anti-poaching efforts, community engagement, research, and conservation education, ERuDeF is helping secure a future for these iconic species.
Without urgent conservation action, habitat destruction, forest fragmentation, and illegal hunting could drive the Cross River gorilla closer to extinction.
Losing this iconic species would also mean losing the healthy forests that provide clean water, regulate our climate, and support local livelihoods.
Join ERuDeF in keeping this irreplaceable species alive for generations to come.
Conserve Today. Secure Tomorrow.
