Loh Yai Foundation equally joins the rest of the world today to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child.
We urge everyone to work towards ensuring the girl child gets a fair share
of everything in any sphere of life.
We're encouraging everyone to make it a duty to give that girl child in our home, neighborhood, and community a better life. It is a collective effort and Yes "We can".
If individually we try to feel and understand the plight of the girl child we are all going to enable them get the best of education and make their voices heard anyday, anytime, and anywhere.
The girl child in Cameroon today is facing multiple challenges amongst which are:
-The global health challenge of the COVID-19
-The insurgency in the Far North Region
-The dragging crisis in the North West and South West Regions and of course,
-The surging numbers of r**e cases in the country.
We can educate the girl child on safety measures to keep safe from the Coronavirus.
For the crisis, we all need to appeal to our consciences; for how long are we going to keep inflicting pain on the girl child?.
Away from the crisis we talk "R**E", and we say, there is no justification for this disgusting act.
It should be everyone's sole duty to protect the girl child. The girl child is the future and the Loh Yai Foundation together with the rest of the world stand for "My Voice, Our Equal Future".
