🌱 Women Driving Circular Innovation at the Science Film Festival – Yaoundé
The Women Coalition for Circular Economy was proud to take part in the Science Film Festival, held on November 26–27 at the Goethe-Institut Yaoundé — a powerful space for dialogue, innovation, and inspiration around science-driven solutions for sustainable development.
Two outstanding women innovators from our coalition took the stage to showcase how science, entrepreneurship, and circular economy principles can deliver real impact on the ground:
🔬 Dr. Tchassep Wandji Nadège, biotechnologist, presented an innovative bio-pesticide and organic fertilizer developed by her team to support regenerative agriculture, improve soil health, and reduce dependence on harmful chemical inputs.
♻️ Rosalie Ekodo, circular economy entrepreneur, shared her work on transforming organic waste into compost, turning urban waste challenges into opportunities for sustainable agriculture, job creation, and environmental protection.
Their interventions highlighted how locally driven, science-based solutions led by women are key to building resilient food systems, protecting ecosystems, and advancing climate action in Africa.
We are proud to see women leading the transition toward a circular, inclusive, and climate-resilient future where innovation serves both people and the planet.
