Yaaaayyyyy!!!! Big win for the African Girls for Development 🥳🥳🥳
Last week at Local Youth Corner Cameroon Head Office, our team was awarded as 1st Runner-up for the National Youth Innovation Contest for Menstrual Hygiene Kit Packaging.
In April, we participated in the said contest which was organized by Local Youth Corner Cameroon in partnership with UNFPA and Ministère de la Jeunesse et de l'Education Civique 237 under the project "My Period, My Pride". Here we created a multipurpose bag that could take in everything a girl needs for good Menstrual Hygiene. A bag that embodies functionality-to-sustainability with a colour scheme of orange and black to symbolise resilience, strength and adaptability, making it inclusive for all.
Congratulations to all of us for our continued impact on the lives of adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), our team members, Ellenor Ngwe Manjong Yvy Susan.
