At Lola Leadership Foundation , we believe that mastering Cameroon’s sociopolitical context is the first step toward building the future we deserve. That’s why we’ve launched a two-week (10-day) transformative training bringing together passionate young people eager to understand, master, and dare.

This week, we are honored to welcome Vera Sompon — Social Worker, Anti-Discrimination Expert, and Deputy Mayor in Germany — who is here to equip and inspire our youth to break barriers of culture, stereotypes, and inaction.

From civic responsibility to personal growth, this program is more than training — it’s a life-changing journey toward leadership, impact, and justice. 🚀💡

Cameroon’s 2025 presidential election is set to be one of the most contested in the country’s history. The nation finds itself at a critical crossroads. Continuity, systemic change, or outright collapse are possible outcomes. Multiple political camps are positioning themselves for power. This election will test the resilience of the ruling CPDM. The party has dominated Cameroon’s political landscape since 1985. The election will also challenge the growing momentum of opposition forces seeking political and systemic change. Statistically, the CPDM holds an overwhelming majority. They have 152 out of 180 seats in the parliamentary and 318 out of 360 in municipal councils. This pattern is consistent with past elections where state machinery, military loyalty, and electoral control have ensured continuity.

Historical comparisons with past elections in Cameroon are insightful. Democratic transitions in African countries like Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal offer valuable lessons. These comparisons highlight that entrenched political dominance does not guarantee indefinite rule. The opposition is fragmented. Despite this, it reflects a rising demand for political restructuring, federalism, decentralization, transitional governance, or youth-driven governance. These demands mirror trends in other African nations. In these countries, youth movements and reformist agendas have gained traction. Electoral hurdles hinder the opposition’s ability to show a unified front. Systemic constraints and internal divisions add further challenges to this. It current political atmosphere harbors ten main political camps namely;

Camp 1: RDPC/CPDM
Camp 2: MPSC
Camp 3: UNIVERSE
Camp 4: MRC
Camp 5: PCRN
Camp 6: SDF
Camp 7: UDC
Camp 8: SUFC
Camp 9: Politicians with low standing without identifying with a camp.
Camp 10: Independent candidates. They have low standing without identifying with a camp.
This classification of political camps provides an overview of the key actors. It details their power dynamics. It also examines the factors shaping their influence in the upcoming elections.

𝗟𝗼𝗹𝗮 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮-𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲.

This is an annual two-week program in which selected young Africans from various fields of work travel to selected European nations to exchange, converse, and advocate for policy on migration, international policies, climate action, and North-South shared future perspectives. Lola leadership and local partners are responsible for planning, implementation and follow up of this programme.

Lola Leadership Foundation organized the first edition in May 2023 and the second edition in May 2024. The major countries targeted are France 🇫🇷, Germany 🇩🇪, Belgium 🇧🇪, and the United Kingdom 🇬🇧. The institutions and organizations targeted are governmental and non-governmental. There is also a slot for reserved for exchange with Africans in the diaspora. It is always very thrilling to be part of this unique experience.

Programme Avenir partager L'Afrique-Europe

Il s'agit d'un programme annuel de deux semaines dans lequel certains jeunes africains de divers domaines de travail se déplacent vers des pays européens sélectionnés pour échanger, converser et plaider pour la politique sur la migration, les politiques internationales, l'action climatique et le nord-sud ont partagé des perspectives à venir. Le leadership de Lola et les partenaires locaux sont responsables de la planification, de la mise en œuvre et du suivi de ce programme.

Lola Leadership Foundation a organisé la première édition en mai 2023 et la deuxième édition en mai 2024. Les principaux pays ciblés sont la France, l'Allemagné️, la Belgique, et le Royaume-Uni Les institutions et organisations ciblées sont gouvernementales et non gouvernementales. Il y a aussi une fente pour réservée à l'échange avec les africains dans la diaspora. Il est toujours très passionnant de faire partie de cette expérience unique.

Mr Njume J. Ewang is member of of Lola Leadership Foundation intelligence unit. He also plays the role of personal assistant to the Executive Director and leader Na Wa Future Movement in due course of important field and stakeholders meetings. He is well trained mentally and physically to meet to meet up daily tasks and challenges of multitasking.

Mr Njume J. Ewang is degree holder in Law from University of Buea with some background in basic science studies. He is an indispensable member of Lola Leadership Foundation and Na Wa Future Movement. He stands out as a promising young leader with quality qualities for knowledge production. The prerequisite for transformative leadership.

Nsai Lisa is a young female Cameroonian with excellent skills on communication, community mobilisation and team vibing. She's FES Young leader for 2024 promotion, Executive member of Na Wa Future movement and top executive of Lola Leadership Foundation.

I am super proud of her milestone improvement in personal and team skills and advancement of our collective goals. She's making headway to becoming the rare breed of female Cameroonians in active leadership and politics. She's LLF personality of the future !
