🌱 Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) 🌱

After the huge success of the ESD Seminars in Douala during the holidays, we received the movement to Yaoundé! 🎉

In partnership wiSOPISDEW Cameroonoon and Action ProgrammGreenbeam for Hope Foundationion and the Executive Director of Sky Limit Nursery and Primary School Yaoundé hosted a powerful 2-day seminar to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to bring sustainability into their classrooms and inspire student led eco-projects. 💡🌍

This is a big step toward integrating sustainability into Cameroon’s education system — one teacher, one student at a time. The first Day featured only primary school teachers And it was amazing success.

The Green Holiday Upcycling Challenge – Day 2 was a stunning success! 🎉🌍✨

Sponsored by the Sustainable Environmental Practices Advocacy Hub-SEPAH in partnership with Greenbeam for Hope Foundation (GB4Hope), the event brought together 26 kids and teens who actively participated in this exciting challenge at Mboa Hub monte chapelle Obili.

The day was filled with rich activities: learning more about the environment, engaging in creative hands-on upcycling that is turning plastic bottles and papers into amazing artworks, and enjoying eco-friendly music. The Founder and Executive Director of GB4Hope Phill Green energized the children with his inspiring song “Climate Change.”

Participants also showcased their group projects, enjoyed refreshments, and received prizes. No child left empty handed ,each went home with didactic materials for back to school and, more importantly, with the pride of becoming Ambassadors of the Environment. Together, they pledged to apply what they learned in their homes and schools, while spreading the message of sustainability to others. 🌱💚

🎉🌍 Amazing Start – Day 1 of our Upcycling Program

Day one was a big success! The children were oriented, taught, and reminded about simple but vital ways to care for the environment, why it matters, and the dangers we face if we ignore it. This took place at Mboa Hub monté chapel obili (We acknowledge their support through out this program)

The Executive Director of Greenbeam for Hope Foundation warmly welcomed them, shared powerful words on environmental protection, and inspired them with his song “Leader of Tomorrow”, encouraging the kids to rise and become true leaders.

The day ended with an exciting activity as the 26 children were divided into five teams to begin their upcycling projects for the following sessions. This teamwork not only builds creativity but also strengthens problem-solving and critical thinking?

Training kids and teens on how to protect the environment is simply protecting the future.
