We are so excited to celebrate 67 amazing participants from the Akoeman village who just mastered the art of liquid soap production. Step by step and bottle by bottle, they rolled up their sleeves and successfully created high-quality soap that is completely ready for the market. This training is a shining example of community development in action. Instead of relying on temporary help, it focuses on sharing practical skills that stick around for a lifetime, giving Neighbors the perfect tool to team up and thrive together.

By learning how to make and market this everyday essential, these 67 community members are taking a huge step toward true self-reliance. This new venture does double duty: it opens up fresh ways for families to earn a steady local income while making essential hygiene and sanitation products much more affordable and accessible for everyone in the community. Now, they are taking on the exciting next challenge of hitting the market and driving their first sales! We are so proud to see them take full ownership of their success. Stay tuned, because there is so much more progress on the way!

We recently hosted a vibrant Child Rights Awareness Campaign with an exciting twist: We stepped back, passed the mic, and let the children take center stage! Through inspiring educational talks, creative dramatic sketches, and child rights knowledge competitions, these young advocates took the lead in sensitizing their peers, neighbors, and invited stakeholders on child rights and the crucial role of duty bearers. To keep the community deeply engaged, we wrapped up the day with a thrilling school football competition, proudly awarding all our competition winners with trophies, school kits, and school cleaning materials.

When children start making their voices heard, we are empowering a next generation of fiercely active leaders, changemakers, and community builders who know their rights and how to champion them. This unforgettable day proved that the most powerful advocates for children are often children themselves.

True climate resilience isn't just about global policies. It is about local action, community ownership, and collective sweat. This World Environment Day, the community of Mehe turned environmental awareness into a powerful, hands-on movement for change.

We are incredibly proud to have brought together 223 community members for a powerful day of sensitization on the real-world effects of climate change. But we didn't stop at education. We put our hands in the earth and our energy into our streets.

We planted trees inside our newly established Mehe Community Forest, creating a lasting shield for our local ecosystem and taking a massive step for nature-based climate resilience. Side by side with community members, we rolled up our sleeves for a massive clean-up campaign to restore and sanitize our local markets.

IIt is harvest season, and the energy at SCOOPS BARKA is amazing! For the very first time, these hardworking farmers tried dry-season gardening. The result? An incredible 3,200 kg of fresh onions from just a small plot of land (a quarter hectare)!

In the past, the dry season meant putting farming on hold and facing severe hunger after the millet and cowpea harvests. Now, thanks to our training and continuous support, they are turning the hardest months of the year into a time of plenty.

With their big harvest heading straight to the market, everything changes for the community. Our income generation project does more than just keep farmers busy. It secures food for the whole year and brings in vital new income for daily household needs. We are so proud to see our interventions bring real food security and pure joy.

Aujourd'hui, nous sommes ravis de cรฉlรฉbrer les progrรจs incroyables que nous accomplissons pour faire de la menstruation une rรฉalitรฉ normale de la vie d'ici 2030.

Notre voyage avance un village ร  la fois, en commenรงant par le village de Mehe, dans la rรฉgion de l'Extrรชme-Nord du Cameroun, avec l'espoir d'รฉtendre notre action ร  toute la Rรฉgion. En brisant les tabous grรขce ร  une รฉducation factuelle, en construisant des infrastructures WASH adaptรฉes, et en donnant aux femmes et aux filles les outils nรฉcessaires pour accรฉder ร  des produits d'hygiรจne abordables, nous sommes fiers de crรฉer un monde oรน personne n'est freinรฉ par ses rรจgles. ๐Ÿฉธโœจ

We are gearing up to celebrate the 2026 Menstrual Hygiene Day in Mehe Village, and you are warmly welcome to join us! Menstruation is a completely normal fact of life, and by breaking the taboos surrounding it, we are proudly contributing to a future where every girl and woman can manage her period with ultimate safety and dignity.

To celebrate this day, our program features essential educative talks alongside creative, powerful sketches performed by our brilliant Girls Club members. We will also feature inspiring showcases of handcrafted reusable pads and liquid soap produced by our project beneficiaries, launch our custom made awareness comic books, and share real life testimonies from those whose lives have been positively transformed by this project.

We are proud to share how our Community Development Committees (CDCs) are becoming engines of change in their communities. By equipping them with practical skills in problem identification, proposal design, and local fundraising, we are ensuring communities donโ€™t just wait for external support but actively mobilize their own resources to solve pressing challenges. In fact, during our recent training sessions, members practiced identifying problems, designed proposals, and even pitched fundraising presentations to bring their ideas to life.

Our vision is clear: self-reliant communities that thrive through collective action and shared responsibility. With the CDCs now trained in community led development strategies, they are empowered to design strategies that reflect local priorities and build resilience from the ground up. This is more than development. It is transformation led by the people themselves, proving that when communities take ownership, lasting impact follows.
