What are we teaching children about the world they will inherit?

On the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, we are reminded that protecting our planet is also about protecting the future of our children.

Environmental challenges can sometimes feel too big for one person or one community to address. But education has the power to change the way the next generation understands and responds to the world around them. When children learn about their environment, they also learn about responsibility, sustainability and the impact of their everyday choices.

At the Pierre Thierry Noah Foundation, education is at the heart of everything we do.
This is why our work in Beta Place also includes workshops on sustainable agriculture and recycling. Through these activities, we want children and communities to see that learning does not only happen in a classroom—it can also teach us how to care for the world we live in.

The future our children inherit will be shaped by the choices we make today. Let's give them not only the education to dream of a better future, but also the knowledge and tools to help protect it.

On International Literacy Day, we are reminded that the ability to read and write can change lives, open doors and empower entire communities.

Yet, access to quality education and literacy remains unequal for far too many children.

At the Pierre Thierry Noah Foundation, we believe that every child deserves the tools to learn, understand, express themselves and dream without limits.

Because when we promote literacy, we empower futures.

Just a few days to go!

With the new school year in Cameroon officially starting on September 7, we imagine that many parents and families are putting the final touches on their back-to-school preparations.

School supplies, uniforms, fees, schedules… and, behind all of it, so much time, care and sacrifice.

To all the parents who give their all every year to prepare their children for a new academic journey: we see you, and we celebrate you.

And to the children—whether you are moving up to a new class or repeating one—this is a new opportunity to learn, grow and give it your all. Every journey is different, and every child deserves the chance to succeed.

At the Pierre Thierry Noah Foundation, we will continue doing our part to support children who do not have access to all the opportunities they deserve.

Because education is a right, not a privilege.

Children who are encouraged to read and tell stories from an early age develop stronger vocabulary, confidence, and critical thinking skills.

That's part of why our "Petits Héros, Grandes Histoires" project exists. Because every child deserves to be heard, not just taught.

Through our Betta Place workshops, we go beyond the classroom: teaching hygiene, confidence, and even storytelling to help children express themselves.
This is what "quality education" really means to us.

🎉 FOUR YEARS. 🎉

On August 18, 2022, the Pierre Thierry Noah Foundation was founded with one mission: give underprivileged children in Cameroon real access to quality education.

Since then, thanks to our partners (including the Fondation Orange Cameroun), our donors, and our community — we've reached thousands of children through school kits, textbooks, back-to-school campaigns, and hands-on workshops.

Today, we celebrate. Tomorrow, we keep building.
