At Family Health and Development Foundation FAHEDEF we believe food is more than nourishment — it is dignity, hope, and a tangible sign that a community cares. In October 2025, thanks to our program partner Siblings Keeper, FAHEDEF provided food to the families of Nkolanga’a. Our Community Health Workers and volunteers served with calm focus and compassion, and the day brought relief, conversation, and renewed trust between caregivers and community members.

Pictures of Feeding are below— moments of sharing, hands passing packages, and children receiving warm smiles. Peace for Feeding guided every exchange: families left with both food and the peace that someone stands with them.

One participant told FAHEDEF volunteers that for the first time that month she could plan three meals for her children per day because they are given food each month. That simple conversation led to a promise: monthly home visits, folic acid distribution, and ongoing health education so families can protect their children from malaria, keep up medication schedules, and access timely care.

Thank you, Siblings Sibling's Keeper Keeper, and thank you to our volunteers for turning compassion into action.

Patients with SCD often face misunderstanding, even within healthcare settings: the pain they experience — especially during “ ” — is frequently invisible to others, yet it is very real.

Compassionate care means more than treating symptoms: it means listening, believing the patient, addressing stigma, and providing support for emotional, social and logistical challenges.

“Compassionate and empathetic care are critical to ensuring patient compliance with regular screenings and treatments to manage SCD.”

IN two women have showed great compassion towards the SCD patients since end last year. Thank you Shandy Reed and Bridgette Pierre for sending regular support that permit the Community Health Care worker (CHW) to keep visiting patients at home to give them Folic acid and Health Education of different topics like prevention of malaria, use of bed nets, adequate hydration and nutrition, regular intake of drugs, respect of doctor’s appointment, referral of cases, and provision of Folic acid monthly.

We will like to start them from #2026 by God’s Grace.

Some of the villages FAHEDEF has visited in Mfou District with SCD patients are: Obout, Mvog-Nnomo, Nze mani, Nkolngue, Adoum, Abang, Nkondom, Nkoulou with support from two humble ladies Reed and Pierre.

🌾 Hand in Hand for Better Foods and a Better Future 🌾

On , FAHEDEF joins the global community in responding to Christ's call: "For I was hungry and you gave me food" (Matthew 25:35).

With 673 million people still suffering from hunger worldwide, our mission is clear.

Our Impact:
Through our Sibling's Keeper program partner, FAHEDEF provides immediate food aid to refugee communities and vulnerable families. But we don't stop there—we empower women to grow their own vegetables, cultivate organic farms, and harvest grains like corn, beans, groundnuts, and soya beans.

Building Better Futures Through the Four Betters:
✅ Healthy Soil = Better Production
✅ Healthy Food = Better Nutrition
✅ Healthy Climate = A Better Environment
✅ Together = A Better Life

We're investing in agroecology, teaching communities to farm sustainably, and lifting families out of extreme poverty. When mothers and children have access to fresh, nutritious food, entire communities thrive.

Join us in implementing agroecology across communities!

Because agriculture isn't just about food—it's about health, hope, livelihoods, peace, and economic stability.

Let's work hand in hand. 🤝

FAHEDEF Equips 79 of the Next Generation for School year 2025 - 2026
Education remains the strongest foundation for sustainable development. By providing these children with the tools they need to learn, we are not just preparing them for school; we are equipping them to become future leaders, innovators, and change-makers.

In a the spirit of compassion, kindness and love FAHEDEF engages in community support, the Family Health and Development Foundation (FAHEDEF) has once again extended a lifeline to displaced children, providing essential school materials to 79 youngsters as they prepare to return to the classroom this September 2025. The initiative, made possible by the generous contributions of Danielle Causer and family, aims to arm these vulnerable students with the tools they need to succeed,
The tangible impact of the Danielle Causer family's philanthropy was evident in the bright eyes and hopeful smiles of the children. Their support has not only provided immediate educational resources but has also fostered a sense of belonging and encouragement for families navigating challenging circumstances.
The Nkolanga’a neighbourhood in Yaounde was abuzz with activity as FAHEDEV Foundation, under the watchful eye of its president, Francoise Nwabufo a dedicated community development worker, hosted its annual back-to-school support event. Children, many carrying the invisible burdens of displacement, arrived eagerly to receive books, pens, pencils, and other crucial learning aids. This year's distribution saw 79 children benefit directly from this vital support. As these 79 children embark on their academic journey, armed with new supplies and renewed hope, FAHEDEF’s effort serve as a powerful reminder of the impact of dedicated community development and humanitarian action.
The foundation's ongoing advocacy calls for a collective commitment to ensure that no child is left behind due to circumstances beyond their control, urging continued support to nurture resilience and foster brighter futures for all.
We invite organizations, institutions, and individuals who share this vision to join us in empowering the next generation through education.
