We at the Environment and Communities Care Front ( ) have just rounded-off a 3-day courtesy and consultative visit to some locals and authorities in the following subdivisions of the Mount Nlonako area: Bare-Bakem, Nlonako, Manjo, Loum and Djombe-Penja in the Littoral Region, Cameroon. The visit was carried out in the framework of our project, supported by the Prince Bernhard Nature Fund to better understand the ecology of the Goliath Frog and raise awareness in local communities while providing them with alternative livelihood activities to reduce hunting pressure on this emblematic species as well as other threatened amphibians in the area. All the visited authorities totally approved our action to protect the world's largest frog ( ) and other endangered amphibians in Cameroon.
