❤️Her Future, Ditally- Creative Camp for Young Women 2025 at Saint Augustin Orphanage Odza.

Theme “Empowering the next generation of female creators through tech, art and leadership”

This is a camp organized by Impact Life Growth in Partnership with YMD in Yaounde , Cameroon 🇨🇲 . In today’s workshop, YMD trained young women at the orphanage on how to mark clothes as a means to empower them and give them some skills that will enable them be more autonomous in the future.

Young women in Africa face significant marginalization due to a combination of factors including gender inequality, poverty, and limited access to education and economic opportunities.
This leads to challenges such as early marriage, teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence, and limited participation in decision-making processes.

With this camp we are empowering the next generation of young female creators through technology, arts and leadership . Our young women at the orphanages are not left behind.

📍ENABLING THE DISABLED PROJECT CAMEROON 🇨🇲
“Disability is not an inability “

In Cameroon, disability affects nearly 6% of the population, with the most types involving limbs, sight, hearing and intellect. While the country has made strides in promoting disability rights, challenges remain in areas like access to healthcare, education and employment.

The unemployment rate of youths with disability in Africa remains disproportionately high. Empowering and training youths with disabilities is therefore crucial for promoting social inclusion, employability, independence, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for sustainable employment and a fulfilling life.

YMD is launching this project ‘’Enabling the Disabled” . The goal is to train as many youths with disabilities as possible with some handworks that will enable them be more autonomous and inclusive in the society. Some of the handworks we will be teaching them will be; woodwork, crocheting, arts & craft, knitting, making bracelets and chains, bags with beads, slippers, making liquid soap etc.
Also, during this project we will have some masterclasses and presentations on business and entrepreneurship, money management, personal development etc.

Today, we call on Organizations, Companies, Vocational Training Centres, Associations, Volunteers and individuals who would like to be part of this initiative and partner for its implementation and impact to contact YMD organization. We are counting on you all to support us .
