📢 FUNDONG COUNCIL TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING: A CALL FOR TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY AND CITIZEN PARTICIPATION

The Fundong Council will on Thursday, 24th September 2026, host a Public Hearing at the Council premises, bringing citizens and local authorities together for an important conversation on the affairs and development of the municipality.

The session is expected to provide an opportunity for citizens to be briefed on the activities of the Fundong Council, including projects undertaken, achievements recorded, challenges encountered and the use of resources entrusted to the Council.

More importantly, the Public Hearing is intended to strengthen the relationship between the Council and the population by creating a platform where citizens can listen, ask questions, seek clarifications and make constructive contributions on matters concerning the development of their community.

🏛️ WHY THIS MATTERS

Local development cannot be the responsibility of elected officials alone. Citizens have a vital role to play in understanding how public resources are being used and how decisions affecting their communities are being made.

A transparent local administration encourages trust, accountability and responsible citizenship. Public hearings therefore provide an important avenue for the population to participate in governance and to hold constructive discussions about the future of their municipality.

For Fundong, this gathering comes at a time when citizens are increasingly interested in development, infrastructure, public services and the effective management of council resources.

The Public Hearing should therefore not be seen merely as another official meeting. It is an opportunity for the people of Fundong to engage with their Council, understand its work and contribute ideas towards building a better community.

The Outgoing President of KOMCUDA Youth Yaoundé Chapter hereby announces to all prospective members and interested sons and daughters of KOM that the election of a new Executive Board of the KOMCUDA Youth Yaoundé Chapter shall be conducted on:

The meeting shall focus primarily on two important items:

1. Presentation and discussion of the KOMCUDA Youth Yaoundé Tournament Report
2. Election of the New Executive Board

Interested and eligible candidates are invited to vie for the following positions:

- President
- Vice President
- Secretary General
- Vice Secretary General
- Financial Secretary
- Treasurer
- Socio-Cultural Master/Mistress
- Sports Coordinators (Male/Female)
- Public Relations Officers (PROs)

All prospective candidates are encouraged to prepare accordingly and demonstrate their commitment to the ideals of Unity, Development and Progress.

The outgoing executive looks forward to a peaceful, transparent and democratic election that will usher in a new team committed to taking KOMCUDA Youth Yaoundé Chapter to greater heights.

💔🙏 PLEASE, LET HIM COME HOME — A HEARTFELT APPEAL FOR HON. WAINGEH ALBERT NDIM
Hon. Waingeh Albert Ndim was reportedly abducted on the night of Monday, 7 September 2026, in Fundong.
To those who are holding him, I beg you—please, let your humanity speak. 🙏
Before anything else, please remember that you are holding a human being. An elderly man. A father. A brother. A relative. A friend. A man whose family is sitting somewhere tonight, crying, praying and desperately waiting for his return.
Try, even for a moment, to imagine what his family is going through.
Imagine receiving the news that your father or brother has been taken away. Imagine spending the night staring at your phone, hoping for a call. Imagine every unfamiliar sound making your heart race. Imagine waking up in the morning and realizing that the person you love is still not home.
That is the pain his family is living with right now. 💔
Whatever anger, grievance, disagreement or circumstance may have brought him into your hands, please do not let it take away your compassion.
Please remember his age. Please remember his family. Please remember that life is precious.
Whatever the disagreement may be, there must still be a way to resolve it without taking an innocent life.
You may have your reasons. You may have your grievances. But please, do not make an elderly man's life the price for those grievances.
There is still time to choose mercy.
There is still time to choose compassion.
There is still time to choose humanity.
🙏 Please release Hon. Waingeh Albert Ndim safely.
Let him walk back through his family's door.
Let his children, relatives and friends see him again.
Let the tears of fear become tears of relief.
Let the prayers of his loved ones be answered.
