On Sunday June 21st, our Managing Partner, Leslie Emeh Njume arrived at the United Nations' Turin Campus - The International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin, Italy to begin the intensive residential phase of the “New Technologies, AI and Digitalization for the OSH Practice” program.

For five days (Monday, 22nd to Friday, 26th June), OSH-Lab Consulting will immerse in international frameworks for computer vision, IoT sensors, and predictive safety dashboards. This isn’t just training — it’s a validation journey. The legal, operational, and strategic realities of Workplace Health and Safety Committees in Cameroon have been grossly undermined, leading to surmounting compromise in the realities for organizations to meet the minimum legal imperatives for workplace safety, health and environment safeguarding.

Vianney and his sister initially came into the program firstly in 2021. At the time, Vianney and his family were in Douala,Cameroon. Their mother contacted us for help when her husband left them. Vianney, his sister and mother ran away from Bamenda during the heat of the Anglophond crisis in 2018 and took refuge in Douala, Cameroon. They have been living with a relative. The mother of the kids then contacted us and solicited for help since the relative was financially not in the position to finance the education othe kids.

Vianney still lives with his mother in Douala who has no steady source of income. Vianney pursues his education with much dedication. He does not need to be pressured to learn. The Scholarship program from GAC is very essential because it ensures and guarantees his education.
Lourinne White is a sibling to Vianney. They share the same background history. She lives with her mother in Douala.@JennyforAfrica
