📢 Health under attack in the Middle East
🚨 Across the region, conflicts are putting millions at risk. In Lebanon alone, attacks on health care are happening almost 3 times a day — affecting hospitals, ambulances, and even health workers.
💧 Strikes on water systems are another major threat. Some countries rely on 70–100% desalinated water, meaning damage can lead to shortages, disease outbreaks, and hospital shutdowns.
🏥 Displaced families in shelters face limited access to care, while overcrowding increases the risk of infections. Mental health needs are also rising rapidly.
💙 WHO and partners are working to keep supplies stable, support hospitals, and deploy mobile clinics to reach those in need.
