🌍✨ Closing the Digital Divide – One Skill at a Time! ✨🌍

We are delighted to share the successful completion of the second edition of our flagship program – Digital Skills for All (DS4A)!

📅 Over the past 12 weeks, about 30 enthusiastic youths (12–20 years old) took part in intensive, hands-on training to build 21st-century skills in:
💻 Computer programming (web, PC & mobile applications)
🎨 Graphic design (flyers, banners, roll-ups, photo editing)
🔐 Cybersecurity
📊 Office automation (Microsoft Excel & Publisher)

The closing ceremony, held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, was chaired by the Delegate of Youths and Civic Education for Mbouda Sub-division. Trainees expressed great satisfaction with the program and shared how these new skills will fuel their academic journeys and professional ambitions.

As they move forward, they were reminded of the importance of continuous learning and ethical use of digital skills.

We are grateful to all partners, trainers, and participants who made this edition a success — and we’re already looking forward to May 2026 for the third edition of DS4A! 🚀

On the occasion of the International Day of Education, the civil society organization Rural Population Empowerment Network (RuPEN) reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to fostering sustainable development and bridging the inequality gap by supporting underprivileged communities.

As part of this year’s celebration, RuPEN through its volunteers, made a donation of instructional materials to the “Ecole Publique de Bamougong Chefferie Groupe 2” in the Bamboutos division, West region, Cameroon. The initiative aims to enhance access to quality education for children in underserved areas, equipping them with the tools they need to succeed academically and beyond.
At RuPEN we believe that education is the foundation of sustainable development, and by empowering young learners today, we are investing in a brighter, more equitable future for all. This donation reflects RuPEN’s belief that no child should be left behind in the quest for a better, more sustainable world.

As we mark this special day, RuPEN calls on individuals, communities, and stakeholders to join hands in ensuring that education becomes a universal right, not a privilege. Together, we can empower the next generation to lead with knowledge, resilience, and purpose.
Let’s continue to make education accessible and meaningful for every child, everywhere. 🌍📚 # UNESCO
