From Farm to Market: Empowering GAHA Cameroon Farmers 🌱🌽🍅
What an inspiring and empowering experience for the farmers of GAHA Cameroon! 🌾
We were honoured to participate in a workshop organized by The Legacy Action and Royal Development Initiatives, Inc. , where our farmers gained valuable knowledge on how to better market their farm produce, add value to local products, and transform fresh produce into finished goods that can be preserved and sold even when they are out of season.
The workshop reminded us of something important: farming is not just about producing food; it is also about creating wealth and building a better life for our farming families. 💚
Our farmers were encouraged to think beyond the farm gate—to explore processing, packaging, branding and better marketing strategies that can increase the value of what they produce.
And the learning did not end there! 🎁 Our farmers were generously gifted tomato and corn seeds, giving them an opportunity to continue producing and strengthening their agricultural activities. 🌱
At GAHA Cameroon, we believe that when farmers are equipped with knowledge, resources and the right opportunities, they can move from subsistence farming to profitable and sustainable agriculture.
