WIVADEV & GBV JUSTICE ALLIANCE – 16 DAYS OF ACTIVISM LAUNCH

Today, GBV Justice Alliance proudly joined the rest of the civil society community in Buea to launch the 2025 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, in partnership with UNFPA and MINPROF.

As a coalition of committed civil society organizations championing GBV prevention, response, and survivor reintegration in the South West Region, this campaign marks a significant milestone for us.
It also signifies the beginning of the second year of our three-year project titled:
👉 “Empowering Advocates and Communities for Greater Action and Sustainable Impact.”

This year’s implementation will focus on:

Muea Community – Buea

Molyko – Buea

Secondary and Higher Institutions in Buea and Limbe

Churches and faith-based platforms

Day One Highlights:
The campaign kicked off with a vibrant march pass from OIC Great Soppo through Bongo Square – Clerks Quarters, Buea, raising awareness on the urgent need to end all forms of GBV.

We're thrilled to announce that the "My Little Sister"✨ program, launched by WIVADEV in collaboration with partner organizations, has just concluded its first edition. On Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, we gathered at Shunamite Home in Limbe for a momentous occasion that marked the beginning of a transformative journey for many young girls.

The "My Little Sister"✨ program aims to raise an army of adolescent and young-adult girls (ages 13-29) who are chaste, purpose-driven, spiritually grounded, and impact-conscious. Our vision is to create a vibrant community of spirit-filled girls and young women who are morally grounded, emotionally whole, and purpose-conscious, making a sustainable impact in their communities and beyond.

Through mentorship, prayer, and the study of God's Word, our program provides a safe space for young girls to grow in their walk with God, share struggles, and find healing and restoration. Our flagship mentorship and peer accountability arm, the Adolescent & Young-Adult Girls Impact Network (AYGIN), drives the program's vision forward.

We're excited to see the impact of this program on the lives of young girls across Africa. Join us in empowering the next generation of women leaders who will make a lasting difference in their communities and beyond.

Women Imparting Values for Development (WIVADEV), present to you "MY LITTLE SISTER" (1st Edition)
An initiative aimed at empowering young girls to stand firm in their values and purpose amidst a society that often ridicules virtue and celebrates vice. They're calling for a new breed of young women who will emerge as ambassadors of light and truth, unshaken in purity and purpose. These young women will be mentored and guided to become role models and leaders. The initiative encourages people to share the message and be part of igniting a fire of purpose and purity.
