Today is World Cancer Day.
Skin cancer is one of the most prevalent cancers among persons with albinism because our skin lacks melanin, its natural protection against the sun.
This day reminds us that awareness, prevention, and early detection save lives.
Protect your skin. check your skin regularly and seek care early.

Throwback Thursday!

On June 13th, 2025 – International Albinism Awareness Day, Born to Dazzle Foundation joined forces with Hôpital Général de Douala Officiel for a special hospital program offering free dermatological and ophthalmic consultations for persons with albinism.

As part of the initiative, Born To Dazzle Foundation distributed broad-brim hats while the Cameroonian Society of Dermatology (CASODERM) generously shared sunscreen lotions — because protecting the skin is protecting life.

Together, we continue to raise awareness, spread love, and promote the wellbeing of persons with albinism.

Every Wednesday is a reminder to uplift women who break barriers and light the way!

"I'm Cho Bih Emmanuell popularly known as Emma Morgan a 25-year-old from Akum (Small London) in the Northwest Region of Cameroon. I'm a proud person with albinism, and what's even more special is that I'm a twin, and my twin sister also has albinism. I studied law at the University of Buea and graduated with a degree that has equipped me with skills to navigate various aspects of life.

Apart from academics, music has been a huge part of my life. I started singing in church, and over time, I decided to pursue it as a career. My dad was an artist, and I guess you could say music runs in my veins. It hasn't always been easy, especially with people doubting me because of my albinism and being a woman in the industry. There have been times when I felt like giving up, but the negative reviews and criticisms only made me stronger and more determined.

As an artist signed with Pearls Records since 2022, I've been able to release some amazing tracks like "Mama," "betatinz ," "my head," and "gold digger ," and I recently released an Ep titled rise beyond resilience along with some awesome mashups. My music is available on all major streaming platforms like YouTube, Spotify, Facebook., TikTok,instagram,Snapchat were you can use them for your videos.

But music isn't the only thing I'm passionate about. I'm also a blogger, and I use my platforms to sensitize people about albinism and other disabilities. It's crucial for me to share my story and inspire others who might be going through similar challenges.

Being a mom to my beautiful 5-year-old son has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. He's my strength, my motivation, and my everything. I want to be a role model for him and show him that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.

You can follow me on my social media handles Emma-Morgan Official on Facebook, TikTok, and instagram. I'm grateful for the support, and I look forward to connecting with you all. I'm a proud Person With Albinism , and I'm proud of the journey I've been on so far."

A little late, but this light is too important not to share.
On International Albinism Awareness Day (June 13, 2025), we didn’t just raise awareness — we took action.

This year’s official theme, “Demanding Our Rights: Protect Our Skin, Preserve Our Lives,” underscores the urgent need to prevent skin cancer among persons with albinism through proper protection, screenings and access to care.

Thanks to the incredible support of Douala General Hospital, Hôpital Général de Douala Officiel persons with albinism received free eye and skin consultations, life-saving care rooted in love and dignity.

With the unwavering commitment of the Born to Dazzle Foundation, and support from partners, we stood together to amplify a message the world cannot forget: People with albinism deserve protection, visibility, and equal opportunity every single day.

Here’s to continued advocacy, healing, and empowerment.

We are stronger together!!Happy International Albinism Awareness Day.
