Be The Exception Counseling Foundation Clinic, was launched in July 2021, Limbe, Cameroon, by Therese Shalo-Fuh, a Cameroonian born, Clinical Therapist or Clinician, living in the USA.

She holds several masters degrees, licenses and certifications, and specializes in clinical mental health, substance use disorders, unhealed trauma, unresolved grief and loss, behavioral issues, criminal behaviors, and relationships. She is also a licensed and certified holistic practitioner, meditation instructor, hypnotist, acudetox practitioner, and Taichi instructor.

Since 2016, she and her staff have provided financial, educational, prenatal, maternal, and material assistance to the less privileged, IDPs, and orphans in Limbe, Cameroon. Kind donations in cash and kind have assisted in sponsoring this assistance.

She and her staff also provide an inpatient (residential style), and other types of treatment programs for substance use (alcohol and drug misuse) and mental health, in Limbe. Her employees are well trained, educated, and licensed from the USA, France, and Cameroon, providing qualitative and evidenced based care.

They also operate a medical outpatient center specializing in primary and palliative care.

She and her team have provided several workshops, sensitizations and educations in primary, secondary and high schools, as well as to the general public.
